It’s gray and hazy outside, which means a perfect day to hit the museum. I’m watching my husband and son roaming around together gazing at the Pteranodon and Stupendemys.
We’re having a Kodak moment at the Museum of Natural History. As usual, I’m always scoping out for hipsters in great denim and this time I spot an adorably hip boy with his equally stylish father holding hands as they zipped by me making their way towards the Ornithischian Dinosaur Hall. Lucky for me they came back my way and I stopped them in their tracks to ask them what they were wearing.
The father and son dynamic duo are Carlo and Elliott Nieva. Elliott is a spunky four year old and cute as cute can be. This kid has great hair! I just wanted to run my fingers through it. Carlo, who works in retail, is wearing H&M jeans, a Sgt. Pepper style jacket by Weber, shirt by Zara, and white patent shoes from a thrift store. Elliott is wearing Baby Gap girls jeans (yes, girls jeans and they look fantastic!), Baby Gap terry pocket polo (Carlo likes to get sizes that have a snug fit), and New Balance sneakers.
Carlo’s favorite jeans are by A.P.C., but if he had to pick jeans that he couldn’t live without, they would have to be H&M. Cheap, fits great and so stylish.
The lesson of the day my friends is that finding your own style is key. Find the right cut and add your own personal style to it and heads will always turn.
