Lacoste Live, a new sub-brand of Lacoste, targeting a younger, more fashion-forward customer, will open 60 Lacoste Live stores, the first to open in early September at 134 Prince Street in NY’s SoHo neighborhood, replacing an existing Lacoste boutique. Stores will follow in international markets including Paris, London, Berlin, Zurich and Tokyo.
The Lacoste Live collection will be a more contemporary line with slimmer fits and edgier designs, such as optic prints and zigzag stripes on tops. Prices will range from $79.50 for polos, $88 to $110 for wovens, $130 to $175 for denim and $125 to $225 for jackets. In addition, footwear will be a key category in the new stores.
While the stores will open later this year, the first men’s wholesale collection for Lacoste Live will hit department and specialty stores next spring. Women’s wear under the new label will launch in fall 2011. Lacoste Live product will also be available in the company’s 67 U.S. Lacoste boutiques and on the Lacoste e-commerce site.
