What, wear denim with your fancy schmancy Burberry trench coat? Yup. The luxury fashion brand has featured a mini-me version in the form of a very adorable Burberry Boy’s trenchcoat via their own Tumblr account, and we think it hits all the right posh-but-relaxed notes for adults as well. We just love the pops of classic color against a neutral base. Want to get the look? We found a couple of fashion finds for your consideration.
GET THE LOOK…
Starting with a trench coat as your base, try a bright colored shirt and colored jeans to offset against the khaki. Fun statement jewelry or a cross body bag completes the haute commuter look.

Liz Cherk of Late Afternoon is springing forward with three denim looks we’re obsessed with. The fashion blogger’s first look is a pair of white jeans with color slashes of pastel from Rag&Bone, a celebrity favorite that spices up any outfit with a graphic pop. Her next look is iridescent and irresistible: a pair of tapered gold skinnies from Zara is the perfect finishing touch to dress up an outfit for a night on the town. Her last look rings true to her blog’s name: a bold pair of yellow jeans from Urban Outfitters to wear on a nice afternoon. Which getup would you rock on a sunny afternoon?

Life always works out this way: you discover a brand new pair of It jeans that you suddenly can’t do without (especially for that upcoming holiday party), such as Zara‘s Gold Jeans ($59.90), but they are sold out in your size. Snap! At last check-in to Zara online, only size 2 and 10 were left. However… however… Zara is legendary for taking special order requests. If you’re digging these gold jeans (pun intended), then give Zara a ring and see if they can’t have one shipped to your local store from Spain. You know you want to.

Blogger and fashionista Sietske L, shows off her love for simple denim and pastels, In a recent Lookbook entry that caught our eye. Sietske poses for the camera, in a soft canary yellow tank top by H&M and a off-white blazer paired with light washed denim shorts, both by the likes of Zara. We love the entire color scheme of the outfit—it really brightens up the day! The denim shorts give the outfit a casual feel while the blazer dresses it up a bit more. Sietske offsets the outfit with a chic arm cuff, neon nail polish, and simple oxfords. The lesson here? Sometimes less is more.

Combining trends can be tricky, but this London blogger risks it all and comes out (dare we say it) winning! We’re talking high waists and denim workshirts meeting in the middle. Literally. By throwing on a Zara denim work shirt, a a pair of Acne Jeans high-waisted shorts, and a chic Acne Jeans long strap shoulder bag, this two-tone outfit is simply timeless. The understated silhouette and color combo mean there’s plenty of room to experiment further with accessories and shoes. Looks like merging two hot trends aint so hard after all!

At the end of the night in a crazy-craaazy club in Manhattan’s Lower East Side called Mehanata, we peered over the bar to notice that one of the bartenders was wearing a pair of loose-fit Zara jeans with a grey waistband, front-button detail, and a cute cuffed hem. She’s gotta move like the wind pouring drinks for impatient nutjobs all night, and we imagine that’s not hard to do when you’re wearing comfy denim like this, paired with some kicks! Check out her style in these snapshots below.

The usually over-the-top and eccentric younger collection of European fashion retailer Zara appears to be getting a much more toned down and sophisticated appeal this season. But don’t fret, causal separates like fun graphic tees and jeans are still around for those of you TRF cool, hip, and trendy girls. What is different that we’re really loving about this more grown up look is the use of color. From this vibrant red blazer with zip details to candy-tone shoes, and of course the amazing colored denim. Colorful lady-like dresses and crocheted tops styled with ultra-distressed jeans solidifies this as a perfect spring look in our book!
