…if not, maybe now is the time. Nasty Gal denim has two chic, easy-to-style options for working the cropped wide leg denim trend into your fall wardrobe. All you need to do is pair them with a simple knit top and some cute heels (no wedges, though). The dark wash pair would be great with a jewel toned patterned top, while the lighter wash looks crisp and fresh with a white tank.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss laced up a pair of roller skates to star in the Frame Denim Spring 2014 ad campaign, complete with 70s inspired bell bottoms and romantic wavy hair. This ad comes as a follow up to her collaboration with the brand in 2013. Says Fashion Gone Rogue, “The American model is the epitome of seventies chic in a pair of flared denim pants with a white asymmetrically cut bodysuit. Karlie trades in her signature short crop for a longer ‘do in the black and white image.” Yep, we’re in love.

In case you haven’t set to rest your stipulation over whether wide leg denim pants were on the rise again, we’ve got you covered. Not only is this editorial proof of the trend’s exponential reemergence, but it should be aesthetically fierce enough to prove that wide-leg haters have nothing to hate! In “Arizona Muse”, a VOGUE China February 2011 editorial featuring Camilla Akrans and her cold, steely glare, the flare trend is dealt with at multiple lengths, in multiple cuts, colors, and attitudes. From the roomy white shorts to the borderline skater-boy style cargos, it looks like this trend is imminent (and, if we may be so bold, totally hot). In addition, she showcases some gorgeous jackets, vests, and other ways to remind the world that denim continues its reign.
