Winter is a great time of year to rock that jeans and boots look, no matter what type of boots or fit of jean. With the right pair of jeans, you’ll have months of hassle-free street style looks. For ankle boots, wear cropped jeans or try cuffing them with a thin cuff for a delicate look. Skinny or boyfriend jeans work. For tall boots, wear denim leggings or skinny jeans. They stay in your boots better and are less likely to pinch. Avoid wearing slim or boot cut jeans if you want to tuck them in. You want a sleek silhouette. Now, all you have to do is throw on the perfect knit top or wintry coat to complete the look.

Refinery29‘s been kicking up a lot of dust in the denim news department with their fabulous month of denim, and they let us in on a little industry secret when it comes to one editor’s denim preferences. Glamour’s entertainment editor Rebecca Sinn prefers loose, baggy jeans over the skin-tight trend. Her favorite pairs of jeans include a wide-leg J Brand style and a pair of Citizens of Humanity denim overalls.
How do you feel about loose jeans vs. tight jeans? Let us know on facebook! And check out the full R29 interview with Rebecca Sinn.

January Jones was spotted in a vintage-inspired look involving one of our favorite pairs of jeans, The MiH Jeans Marrakesh flare leg jean, and a fur trim jacket that looks like something Jimi Hendrix might have worn. Beneath her jacket, a gorgeous white lace top. These jeans are a super comfortable, mid-rise style in a soft, luxe denim that you can turn elegant or rock’n'roll with a few quick changes.

When it comes to fashion icons for women, Audrey Hepburn is the penultimate clean, classic style inspiration–and we’ll still look to her for notes on how to pick our denim. We can totally imagine her wearing this collection of slim black pants, graphic printed jean trousers, high-waist shorts, and classic blue jeans. Add a preppy collared shirt, flats, a perfectly arched eyebrow, and you’ll get this look down pat.

Causal & feminine are the two words that describe Citizens Of Humanity‘s spring 2012 women’s collection. Wide-leg jeans, light-washes, playful frocks, and a gorgeous floral print (seen recently on Lana Del Rey) characterize the stylish, casual aesthetic. Even more daring pieces like a destroyed white denim vest with a shredded out back have a sense of vintage prettiness. Shown with white knit tops and leather belts, this is a no-fuss, no-frills wardrobe for women who want effortless basics that will never go out of style.

Jessica Alba was seen on two separate occasions this past week wearing one of our favorite brands, J Brand. She chose the 811 mid-rise skinny jeans in Dare for a solo outing and then shortly after, the Love Story Bell Bottom Corduroy Jeans for a stroll with her daughter, Honor Warren. Her daytime style formula includes J brand classic dark wash jeans, a patterned or striped shirt, and sometimes a hat/scarf combo.

Jessica Biel showed off her fab figure in a pair of Paige Denim High Rise Bell Canyons in Breckenridge while she was in Toronto filming the remake of Total Recall. The jeans are hugging her curves in all the right places and we love how she tucked in her blouse so that we can have the full effect of the semi high rise denim that flare at the bottom hem… but those flip flop sandals really stick a fork in the whole look! Why Jessica, Why?!
