How To Wear White Jeans In The Winter

Whether you call it snow day camouflage, winter whites, or the ski bunny uniform: wearing white in the winter is a chic statement for sure. But how to mix things up and add some edge? We love this styling tip: Layer some white deconstructed denim jeans over a pair of pop color or patterned leggings. Aside from keeping you warm, this will add some serious depth to your look.

Of course, if you don’t want holes in your jeans but inconveniently find them there, we can repair them for you.

Stay warm!

No White After Labor Day? Rag & Bone Disagrees (And So Do We)

The “no white after labor day” rule is definitely one fashion commandment we don’t give much thought to. So we’re thrilled Rag & Bone has such a sleek line of white jeans, available right now—some at a discount—for us to pair with the oversize sweaters, denim jackets, and cozy autumnal tops we’ve been pulling out of storage in preparation for impending fall. MC Reviews True Religion White Denim Cut-Off Shorts

Cut-off shorts are the ultimate staple, and you can throw a summer twist on this classic style by wearing them in white. Recently our blog editor MC received a pair of True Religion high-rise Cadence cut-off shorts, and so began a new denim love affair. Find out what she loves about them below.

What was your first thought when you tried them on?

I immediately thought, “wearing these out tonight!”

Where/when would you wear these?

I’ve already worn them to the beach, to run errands around my neighborhood in Brooklyn, for a few nightlife expeditions… basically everywhere/anywhere. I love the resort style of white denim and pairing them with different tops: neon tanks, a chambray shirt, etc. The only downside to these is that they’re white, and that means you can’t get away with wearing them day after day as you would with a medium wash.

How’s the fit?

They fit like a glove, with next to no stretch despite wearing them on long train rides and while busting a move. I seriously love these shorts.

Raffael Reviews Denim of Virtue Eskimo Jeans

Denim of Virtue is a premium denim brand manufactured in LA. “We didn’t want to just throw ourselves back into the ‘premium denim’ market without delivering a product that was truly luxe and worthy of the name. That was part of our Virtue… giving our customer denim that feels so good on they won’t want to take it off, and really introducing looks that stand out in the marketplace,” says the brand’s designer, Elizabeth Bae. And make no mistake, she they’re living up to their manifesto.

Sourcing the very best denim fabrics from around the globe, DoV developed new techology, “X-Fit”—a four-way stretch material that provides an unparalleled slimming effect. They looked to Italy’s Candiani denim mill for durability and France’s soft Tencel-based “Cool 12″ material for their relaxed fits (so comfortable it’s pretty much impossible to take off). Finally, for their coated denim styles, they imported specialty fabric from Spain that was treated with an uber-soft wash.

What was your first thought when you tried them on?

Comfort factor. I’m used to wearing raw denim. These are more like wearing a soft moccasin after years of wearing strong tough shoes.

Where/when would you wear these?

I’ve been wearing them to brunch, for walks along the waterfront in Williamsburg… they have the perfect look and feel amazing. I’ve dubbed them my “resort jeans”.

How’s the fit?

I really like the medium rise with a tapered slim fit. They have the perfect amount of stretch and are really comfortable. The contrast cuffs are another visual bonus.

Eric Reviews Zipfit.me: The New Wave In Men’s Denim

Recently, we heard about this website called zipfit.me that claims to have a “unique algorithm that matches you to the right pair of mens jeans based upon a pair you already love or based upon your body type and fit preferences.” It seemed legit, so I gave it a try. I liked was that I could try both methods without having to set up an account or enter any payment information.

First, I tried the more custom technique by entering my measurements and fit preferences. I knew I wanted a pair of white jeans, so I just searched through the dozen-or-so matches for a pair that came in white and voila- we have a deal! I also tried the process where you select a pair you already have from a list and it came up with mostly the same dozen-or-so pairs, so clearly I have a type.

eric-white-jeans-men-review

I experimented with both methods, several times, and I can safely say the process is very easy – so easy, a male model could handle it. Payment was a breeze and my Paige denim Normandie egg shell jeans were on their way. They must have had them in stock, because I got my jeans in about a week.

I was pretty excited about my white jeans, because I’ve never had a pair of white jeans and, you know, YOLO- or whatever. I tried them on and immediately realized my blue boxers weren’t going to work with these pants. After a quick trip to the store for some tighty whities, I was ready for the joys these pants would unlock. For some reason, I was imagining them to be like gritty, Andrew WK style white jeans- but once I got them, I realized I had selected more yacht-rock, Hall and Oates style slack-y jeans, but that’s cool. I’ll rock that 80’s look, no problem.

I’m looking forward to launching these white light denim jeans into my summer rotation. Zipfit.me delivers the goods, as promised, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

We can inspect the fabric hand, design details, and special components that set brands apart from one another. Besides their adorable mini-jeans, 3×1 was equipped with the particulars to keep us around their booth for a while, from their top notch Japan-sourced denim to their made-in-the-USA finishes.

Big Star USA Does Bird-Printed Jeans For Spring

We’ve seen flowers, we’ve seen paisley…heck, we’ve even seen skeletons prancing on printed jeans! So it’s super refreshing when a brand comes out with a unique take on a done-to-death trend (not that we’re tired of it). Big Star USA released a pair of very charming jeans for spring that feature a smattering of colorful birds on white denim. Understated in a cartoon-y way, they’d be a flawless match for a white silk button-down top or a tailored navy blazer.

Colored Denim Added To Raleigh’s Spring 2013 Repertoire

A brand well known for being ultra-classic and artisan-inspired, Raleigh Denim is branching out into trendier waters for spring 2013. Fear not, they won’t be pushing any pop-art inspired prints or novelty cuts. Instead, they’re introducing a variety of colored denim for women in rich hues like cranberry, pale-lilac, and grape. Yes, we want them all.
