While known for sourcing some of NYC’s downtown crowd’s most coveted vintage denim, What Goes Around Comes Around is also responsible for a core collection of handsome basics that pay homage to Americana style. The latest in their menswear collection revealed soft chambray button-down workshirts with subtle details like pin stripes, nautical anchors, and polka-dots. We can see these looking great under roomy wool sweaters or tailored vests.
Like what you see? You can shop WGACA’s collection online while you’re waiting for these staples to hit the market.

Remember the exciting collaboration announcement between Resin Denim and the jewelry line Made Her Think? Does “flawlessly accessorized denim” ring a bell? Well, last night we had the chance to party with the designers in celebration of this joint venture, along with other stellar fashionistas. The party went down at What Goes Around Comes Around in Soho, NYC. Inside at the “denim bar”, each guest received the ultimate cocktail: a free pair of jeans and a beautiful necklace. Aside from clowning around in the photo booth and mingling with denim-heads, we snapped some photos too! Check them out below.

In the warm, luxe interior of the Soho Grand Hotel, we caught What Goes Around Comes Around‘s Fall 2011 runway show on the first official day of NYFW. The rustic-nordic-meets-bohemian cues were a perfect fit with all out glamorous ’70s retro style. Denim trends included a loose vintage stove pipe fit, thick cuffs, and (our favorite), hem slits with vertical button closure. The ladies paired their cuffs jeans with sky high red platform shoes. Boys styled white jeans with military jackets, loose gray washes with camel colored leather accessories, and a whole lot of fur.

Stay tuned for more from the tents!

With a milieu of denim labels creating “vintage” looks on jeans these days, it’s hard to say what jeans are truly well-worn and personally broken in. In this case, you do get the sense that the vintage line from What Goes Around Comes Around are truly just that: vintage. Every jean you see has its own unique rips and shreds. Unlike some of the fabricated ”1 Year” or “10 Year” jeans in my closet, which look pretty much identical to what I saw when I shopped them online, these vintage jeans can’t guarantee the same worn look. And, that’s okay.
