What are a girl’s two favorite things? Flowers and fashion. We’ve rounded up some trendy street stylers who are taking floral denim to a new level. With five extremely different ways to dress up or dress down -here are some of our favorite floral ensembles we are eating up.
Silvia chooses an elegant floral print from Zara to liven up her muted color story.
Fashion blogger Shea reps some bright and bold hues on the beach in Zara floral skinnies for the ultimate spring look.
Chelsea tries a more casual approach with a pair of Insight’s floral denim. Cocorosa found her flirty florals at Topshop.

The street styler made sure to showcase her cut-off’s with a vintage floral blazer that highlights and hints at her mint green wedges. There is nothing better than a vintage pair of cut-off’s that truly fits you to a tee. What’s your latest and favorite vintage find?

Nasty Gal‘s latest lookbook (thought they’ll probably have a new one posted by the time we finish typing this, because that’s how they roll), focuses on three basic summer concepts: cut-out tops, denim shorts, and the timeless American flag motif. Featuring a model who looks like she just rolled out of bed into a lazy LA kind of fabulousness, it addresses the question of whether or not the basic lazy day uniform should include sexy black knit separates with a little more negative space. The answer is yes, by the way.

The Brooklyn Circus is a Brooklyn-based menswear & denim shop that specializes in nostalgia, but manages to stay entirely relevant. Aside from having one of the coolest set-ups at PROJECT NY (think vintage school lockers and seriously antique football and boxing gear), they offer sought-after outerwear, jeans, shoes, and… fine, we’ll say it: street cred. And while they serve the men of NYC with their scholastic take on becoming a dandy, the ladies can rest assure they’ll look great in these “boyfriend” jackets too. Didn’t date the quarterback in high school? No worries, this is just as fun.

We all love shopping vintage. There are few things closer to actually treasure hunting than picking through the selections at your favorite second hand & vintage store. But truth be told, sometimes the history behind your new favorite denim skirt or chambray dress comes through in more ways than one. We’re talking about odor. Want to zap the unpleasant aroma ASAP? Follow this tip we found on Glamour:
Janie Bryant, Mad Men costume designer, says “All you have to do is mix one part vodka with two parts water in a spray bottle. It works every time—that’s the power of vodka for you.”

When she wasn’t seen strutting the cat walk at NYFW, model Lindsey Wixon was caught being model-off-duty gorgeous on her own time! She was photographed backstage at Preen in a vintage coat, vintage lizard bag, Mother Drama in Forever Blue jeans, and a top from Target. She still looks as if there was a little bit of lights, camera, action going on before someone snapped this cute pic. With all the denim on the runways this season, she seems to be right on the money! Not that denim ever goes out of style…wink wink.

While out and about in NYC this weekend, we ran into Sarah, whose mustard yellow sweater and dark-wash denim cut-off shorts had us super-inspired for fall. The jewel tone top and destroyed cut-offs are a great mix of sweet vintage charm and downtown rock’n'roll. She finished off her look with a trucker hat and a layered striped shirt beneath the sleeveless sweater. Love it.

There’s not a whole lot you can say about this image, except that it’s James Brown in denim-on-denim, and it doesn’t get much cooler than that. We’ll let this vision of vintage rad-ness tell the rest of the story. Live on, JB! Live on in our denim & rock’n'roll loving hearts!

Today our blog editor Michelle Christina is wearing a second-hand denim work shirt (“I found it in a thrift shop during a weekend thrift-shopping crusade upstate!”) with a long pleated floral-print skirt (“found this dreamy piece at SheHEARTSVintage on Etsy“). As for accessories, she wears hand-made Peruvian friendship bracelets, her favorite “conga ring” (shaped like a miniature drum), and a pastel beetle pendant from H&M. The point of this outfit? Michelle Christina says, “bohemian casual.”
