Vanessa Hudgens was recently snapped in One Teaspoon Original Trash Whore Shorts (some name, huh?), while Ashley Tisdale was spotted in a similar style of cut-off shorts: MinkPink Slasher Flick Shorts. Both girls went for the destroyed denim style with white knit tops while Vanessa went denim-on-denim with a Vince Convertible Denim shirt. She paired her shorts with Christian Louboutin leather clogs and a Linea Pelle Dylan quilted leather shoulder bag. Hilary Duff (mother-to-be, woohoo!) was recently spotted wearing a pair of super comfortable [Blank NYC] Pull On Belle Flares (we should know how comfy they are, we have a pair!). They feature an elastic waistband and are meant to slip on and off with ease, so whether you’re pregnant or just lazy, getting up and getting dressed is a lot easier with these on hand. Luckily you don’t sacrifice style for comfort either—they’re pretty chic! She paired her bottoms with a Vince Rugby Striped crew neck sweater, Parker Ochs Frederico travel bag, and Christian Louboutin Moulage 140 Ankle Boots. For a fun touch of boho, she had some feathers woven into her hair.

After taking a look at the Vince. fall 2011 lookbook, we can officially say we are ready to take on the colder weather. The soft knits and warm color palette make us long for the days when there is that brisk feeling in the air, because let’s face it, turtlenecks and the NYC summer heat just don’t mix. Vince is showing a great silhouette of baggy on top & slim on the bottom that will be easy for many to copy, but beware–that crop leg skinny jean can be a hard look to master, so for a more guaranteed flattering option, go for the skinny ankle jeans which will create a longer leg. We really love the way that Vince. transitions the colored denim trend into fall with earthy tones, that to be truthful, are easier to pair a top with than this season’s neons and pastels. With stretch denim ensuring a comfortable fit, these jeans definitely take a top spot on our wish list! (And we know it’s not denim, but that leather boat neck dress? Yes please!)

Remember Planet LuLu? I do. I went to my first sample sales at Planet LuLu in downtown L.A.’s Cooper Building eons ago. It was probably in 2000, and I still have that Wendy Hil suede leather jacket I snagged for $40 to remember it by. Ah, the sweet memories.
