Looks like Sienna and Savannah Miller are ending their 6-year-old stint as CD’s at Twenty8Twelve.
Via The Cut Blog:
“Sienna and Savannah Miller, who co-founded Twenty8Twelve in 2007 with a hefty investment from Spanish entrepreneur Carlos Ortega, are ending their partnership with the label after a six-year run as creative directors. The line, which is named for Sienna’s birthday (December 28), will continue under the current design team — which is to say that probably not much will change, except for the occasional public appearance by the Miller sisters on its behalf. Savannah was largely responsible for the label’s initial vision, having received a very respectable design education at Central St. Martins; Sienna can be credited for much of its publicity, including several features in American and British Vogue.
The label will proceed as usual, showing its fall 2012 collection during London Fashion Week under the leadership of long-standing design team members Vanessa James and Elsa Elphick. The Telegraph reports that the Miller sisters’ departure was an amicable decision with the brand’s owners, Pepe Group. “We never intended to be a celebrity brand and we remain confident of our DNA,” Pepe Group managing director Nish Soneji told Drapers. If that’s the case, this is probably the best decision for all involved.”

Denim is definitely the thread of sisterhood for British it-sisters Sienna Miller and Savannah Miller. They’re both featured on the cover of Britain’s Sunday Telegraph magazine, flaunting adorable jean-accented separates. Inside the pages, they show off their denim-adoration in various pieces from their collection, Twenty8Twelve. We can’t get enough of the rolled vintage-wash denim shorts—the ultimate boyfriend cut—seen paired with an unbuttoned white cotton workshirt. The mix of uber-casual and preppy-luxe is simply refreshing.

Sienna Miller was snapped looking a little suspicious in her Twenty8Twelve by S. Miller denim workshirt, Genetic Denim James skinny jeans, and Rag & Bone booties. She was also clutching her Isabel Marant white fur jacket (it’s sold out, by the way), and a Gucci suede Shoulder Bag. We’re digging the double-X stitching detail on the jeans, and the denim-on-denim look in general. It’s a no-fail trend that isn’t slowing down. And aside from her smirk, we can’t help but notice how her eyes match this bright-wash workshirt flawlessly. Some girls have it.

Brainchild of sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller Twenty8Twelve has created quite the buzz over the last few seasons, and for good reason too. It’s just the right look for any girl with who wants that romantic bohemian vibe with a hint of rocker chick appeal. What else could you ask for? This spring the duos’ collection keeps the emphasis on all things vintage inspired reworked into modern and wearable separates. Among the soft pastel hues, feminine floral prints, and flowy chiffons are a slew of denim pieces that we are absolutely loving. From button-front denim dresses, light washed denim jackets, distressed shorts and jeans, shirts, and (our favorite) a chambray knee-length skirt with fringe detail, this collections has something for everyone.

Jude and Sienna manage to look decent, even after a long flight from Kenya. Could it be they were returning from Sienna’s birthday trip? After all, her birthday is on 12/28 (as in Twenty8Twelve). Arriving in Heathrow Airport on Monday, this celebrity couple know how to work it, realizing that the paps will be snapping their every move from the gate to the baggage carousel. We were slightly disappointed not to see Jude in a pair of jeans, but we’ll cut him a break for style points. After all, he is the face of Dior Homme.

Jude is wearing a pair of drop-crotch arc leg jersey pants by Bassike, paired with a matching unstructured blazer; Sienna is wearing a Rock & Republic “Keagan” leather bomber jacket and skinny jeans combo, a go-to look for her which we recognize in another airport look from last November. Both are wearing heavily worn, vintage lace-up boots (tr?s Victoriana); perhaps trophies from past movie gigs. We’re happy Jude and Sienna are giving it another shot at love, if not only because we’ll get to see more photos of this good-looking couple together, looking a bit more refreshed at future photo calls.

Denim is branching out; from the runway to street photos we are seeing every piece of clothing made out of denim. For its usual pants obligation the wide trouser leg that have some deeming the return of the 70s, gained momentum in New York Fashion Week and continued across the pond this week in London.

The prose of denim is the sheath dress showed by London based designer Osman. No longer is simple synonymous with boring with these artfully draped and tailored creations. Along with the full denim skirt Osman took our favorite fabric to create runway looks that can translate to your wardrobe. The dark denim appeared throughout his collection, under flowing tops in a straight trouser leg with a cuff.

Twenty8Twelve, the brainchild of sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller, showed a collection any girl could see herself in. As in any well-rounded wardrobe denim was a key player. It appeared as loose shorts, overalls, a bibbed top, a full skirt and even a belt. While reviews may be across the board, the retail value of this collection cannot be denied. Indeed, the sisters are opening a third London boutique in October and the line is carried throughout the world.

Welcome to denim sale central! A new discount member’s only site has surfaced, thanks to apparel retailer Revolve Clothing. The prices are so good, that Cheap Mondays go for $26, even cheaper than you could imagine. That’s probably why they named it REWIND, because the online stock seems to be pre-inflation and pre-millennium prices. What’s the difference between REWIND and other member’s only sites? The site has featured limited time sales on certain jeans, but there’s tons of other jeans, clothes and shoes on its site that you can also purchase. It feels more like a rock-bottom discount overflow from Revolve and Forward (Revolve’s other spinoff site). Look for Acne Jeans, Citizens of Humanity, Diesel, Frankie B, J Brand, Juicy Couture, MiH, Twenty8Twelve and lots more. Apparel, accessories, handbags, and shoes, they’ve got that, too! Plenty of fashion for guys as well. You really do get a sense that you are saving 80% off on some items, like their motto dictates. And, with a $5 flat rate shipping for U.S. orders, it’s totally a good deal. Don’t pause; do the REWIND!
