We are all familiar with the thickly stitched horseshoe that each pair of True Religion’s comes equipped with, but we have to say their Fall/Winter 2012 lookbook is throwing us off into a new direction, and we like it. The brand’s latest lookbook exudes uncharted hues, vintage patterns and prints we are going to want to wear all season long. 1. Here’s a shirt the dudes will be wearing in spades this spring! It’s the Heritage Research x Lofgren indigo-dyed cotton “Spade Print Engineer Shirt”. Designed according to the silhouette and details of a 1920s railroad engineer’s uniform.
2. We’re curious to hear what you guys think about J Brand x Christopher Kane’s continued collaboration… We’re waiting to see if this one grows on us.
3. Step aside, leopard print… zebra stripe is in! The GUESS summer 2012 lookbook is out, and it features tons of color and bold accents like this animalistic skinny. Stay tuned.
4. True Religion isn’t one of our favorite denim brands, but for spring 2012 they’re busting out a novelty that we’re excited for: stretch colored cords in great colors, like this banana pudding yellow.
5. Eat Sleep Denim examines the current trend of mint green monochrome outfits among bloggers. We’re partial to the hue ourselves, so we’ll be supporting the spearmint movement.

For Spring 2012, True Religion is back with an overhaul of their denim range and Website. The company retains much of its brand DNA (along with its Western influences) in new back pocket stitching, but the focus is now on understated jeans with subtle details. The campaign features models Alicia Rountree (in the Wanderer), Tallulah Morton (in the Bohemian), Julia Dunstall (in the Maverick), and Brad Kroenig (in The Rebel). Check out the video for a behind-the-scenes peek. ”The objective was to take a different, intelligent, politically relevant, culturally relevant and thought-provoking approach… we want to reach the consumers that engage because of curious content,” said Jeff Lubell, founder and CEO. We’re excited to see what else they roll out in coming weeks!

1. Project Global Trade Show (#projectshow) is in its second day in New York City. Lots of denim brands are exhibiting, and Denim Therapy is on the scene to cover it. Look for our latest updates throughout the day.
2. True Religion is launching their Spring-Summer 2012 campaign today. The brand itself revamped their e-commerce site, for a smoother user experience. Their new range of jeans for women and men incorporate subtle details and finishes while retaining the True Religion brand heritage. Look for more coverage of the True Religion campaign launch on Denim Therapy.
3. As you know, Kanye West has fallen in love with being a fashion designer (we spotted him recently at Pitti Uomo Men’s Fashion Week). His early influence was his mom. ”My Mom would wear blue jeans with a fur and an embellished “Cosby Show” sweater : ) to pick me up from school.” (via Twitter)
4. Denim-driven online retailer Lamb & Flag has opened up a new brick-and-mortar store in Brea, California, with another one in the works. By the way, they carry brands like [blanknyc], Kill City, Levi’s Made & Crafted and WeSC.

A new year and a new denim closet revamp is in order, no? Vogue just released their first denim must-haves list of the year, featuring a shortlist of head-to-toe denim gets for under $500. From denim shoes by Michael Kors, Alexandre Birman and SEE by Chloe, to a refreshing take on the jeans skirt by Scully Denim, we’re certain you’ll find some inspiration here. We think 2012 is the year that denim detractors may just be swayed to slip on a pair of jeans. Because, after all, Vogue certainly thinks jeans are lust-worthy.

Apparently, Australians love their denim, and RUSSH Magazine is out to prove it. How? Well, there’s certainly more than 10 ways to wear your denim (Canadian Tuxedo style or half-naked wise), but this editorial entitled “SERGE” (photographed by Dean Podmore) pays homage to Boyfriend jeans, drop-crotch jeans and double denim outfits in multiple variations for a breezy Australian summer. Featured brands include Citizens of Humanity, Dr Denim, General Pants, G-Star Raw, MINKPINK, One Teaspoon, Neuw, True Religion, and Wrangler. The editorial is fun, flirty and sexy—as if the girl is saying “nothing comes between me and my (insert favorite jean here).”
