Rising style star and fashion blogger Juan Cocco, who launched his blog while living in Madrid and has recently re-located to Reykjavik, Iceland. His outfits often incorporate denim from the basic, classic cool to innovative. He took a minute to share some denim-related insight with us in his quick interview.

Denim Therapy: What are your favorite denim brands?
Juan Cocco: Levi’s has always been one of my favorites. Also, Cheap Monday jeans are awesome and fit very well. Lastly, Topman does jeans well.
DT: What are some of the best places to shop for denim products in Madrid and Reykjavik?
JC: I’ve only been living in Reykjavik for a few months, so I can’t answer properly, but in Madrid, my favorite shops are “Sportivo” and “Mini”. They have a wide range of brands that you’re bound to love immediately.
DT: If you shop for vintage denim, what qualities do you look for?
JC: Vintage or not, it must look cool and fit according to your personality.
DT: Any comments about denim’s role in fashion right now in general?
JC: Denim is always trendy. It is fascinating how every year it appears in catwalks, renewed and providing fashion with new meaning. And the greatest thing is, denim can be combined with just about every single other kind of fabric or garment.

Keep up with Juan Cocco at his blog, or on twitter.
