One of spring’s hottest upcoming trends is tie-dye or ombre dye denim. UK-based denim expert Donna Ida weighs in: ”To me tie dye is all about a relaxed, fun, hippy vibe and this season the colours are so super vibrant as seen on the catwalks of Charlotte Ronson and Etro. Get beach chic with tie dye shorts and casual tees.”

We’ve caught a glimpse of the new brand Live Life Love Denim, and well frankly, we wouldn’t mind living in their denim because we really do love it! While the brand is based out of Los Angeles, every jean is made from premium Japanese denim, so you know that you’re getting top quality. Though the line is due out this fall, we do see a nod to the pastel denim trend of summer, and to keep up with the seasons there are also hot coated denim skinny jeans, in both olive and red. If you really want to make a statement, the white & blue tie-dye wash is the pair of jeans for you. As denim brands keep pushing their limits to stay on top of the market, we think this new brand knows exactly what they’re doing, and we like it!

Plaids are all the rage for fall, and Pudel has got the trend down to a tee. Their latest collection features a wide selection of denim pieces from skirts to jackets and jeans detailed with the perfect 90s-esque plaid. And if that isn’t enough to totally satisfy our grunge cravings, then a dose of tie dye dark denim and cable knit sweaters will certainly do the trick. Check out the men’s and women’s lookbook below.

We’ve obviously been all about color lately, but even we can’t deny how totally killer this monotone look by blogger Jim Dumont of France is. Monotone definitely doesn’t equal boring, and here’s your proof. We can’t stress how crucial it is to add interest strategically when you’re rocking a simple ensemble, and Jim’s DIY bleached out jeans do the trick. The tie dye jeans add enough character to land him a spot on stage in a nu-wave punk band, and subtle styling details like his rolled sleeves and buttoned-all-the-way-up shirt keep it retro. The combat boots and John Lennon glasses are the icing on the cake. This look says rebel yell all over it.
