New year, new style? Dudes can keep Italian Prince and famed photographer Tao Ruspoli on their radar for a fresh take on menswear style. He was recently spotted with ex-wife Olivia Wilde in New York, wearing Joe’s Super Slim in Torres ($174). We kind of wish he would have tucked the jeans into those slick looking boots. Ruspoli recently shot Joe’s Fifty Five Colors ad campaign and video short. If you haven’t seen our review of the Joe’s holiday lookbook, check it out.

We were wondering what Joe’s Jeans were cooking up when we saw one of these train car colored denim ads in NYLON Magazine this month, and now we’re privy to the short film campaign, shot by Tao Ruspoli, that follows girls in colored denim and their struggle to pick a pair of jeans amidst so many choices. Sound like your morning routine? Ours too.
The film summary reads as follows:
“In this artistic short, two girls wearing Joe’s colored denim—one in a vibrant color and the other in a softer shade—board a vintage train car. Once in the sleeper car, one passenger opens her suitcase displaying her brightly colored Joe’s skinny jeans. She indecisively picks through her candy colored denim options as her fellow passenger looks on secretly coveting all of the bold color choices.
Exhausted from going through her options, the passenger decides to take a rest amidst a bed of colored denim. The on-looking passenger seizes her opportunity and darts out with as many jeans as she can carry. After a short rest, she awakens tofind her denim missing and takes off in a colorful pursuit.”
The Fifty Five Colors retail for $158 and are available at JoesJeans.com, Joe’s retail locations, and department stores and fine retailers, including E Street Denim.

At your own risk– Boardwalk Empire star and notorious naughty girl Paz de la Huerta (who we’re pretty much in love with) appears in Joe’s Jeans Fall 2011 ad campaign, which celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary. The campaign, photographed by Tao Ruspoli, puts the the actress in an old time circus where she rides a vintage merry-go-round, dangles from an aerial hoop suspended 14 feet in the air, is strapped to a spinning wheel in front of a knife thrower, and other carnival-esque antics. It’s a good thing this beauty’s wearing jeans built to handle all of these crazy tricks. Don’t try this at home!
