Alex Spencer is the Australian beauty starring in Car Mar (LF Store‘s new denim line)’s latest lookbook. The shoot takes place in Venice Beach and sums up a perfect lazy summer day, from toting a surf board through the streets to lounging around on the couch. Skateboards and beach houses are not forgotten, of course. The denim itself lends itself nicely to west coast lifestyle, but downtown east coast girls will be rocking it just as easily. Our favorites? A pair of destroyed peach cut-off shorts and a dip-dye bleached out workshirt.

True Religion denim is the star of Shopbop’s newest lookbook, featuring summer denim styles fit for everything from lake-lounging to dates. Titled, Sentimental feeling, the moody shots are styled with an array of textured knitwear, leather, and summer jewelry (like earth toned beads and sunglasses). There’s no shortage of shorts, fringed, cuffed, in light and dark washes. And if we’re sure of one thing this summer (and every summer), it’s that you can’t have too many options when it comes to denim shorts.

Nasty Gal posted a sneak peek of their newest lookbook online, and we were immediately enamored with the opening image of light wash rolled denim shorts with lace inserts.
