We’ll be the first to admit, we’re constantly browsing Etsy for cheap jeans and exciting vintage denim, whether it’s the DIY ambitions a super creative designer-in-the-making or straight up hard-to-find retro jeans that our parents used to love. Today though, we came across a real gem: vintage Levi high-waisted white jean short, dip-dyed to pastel perfection. And we decided to post them up instead of buying them and making a run for it. You’re welcome!
Want ‘em? There’s only one pair, and they’re just $40! Buy them here (be sure to read the full item description for sizing and other info).

When it comes to staying cool in the summer, sometimes it’s best to keep things clean and simple. Whether you opt for a simple denim shorts and white t-shirt combo or go a little more preppy with a straw hat and some blue velvet shoes (woah!), the key to keeping your look fresh is a tamed color scheme reminiscent of nautical-scapes and beach house attire. We’ve rounded up five of our favorite such outfits from The Sartorialist (who launched his newly designed website and is hiring interns, by the way), for you to garner summer style inspiration from.

When our DT bloggers took the Brooklyn streets in Buffalo David Bitton Jeans recently, they found two things: the bi-polar weather requires a cardigan back-up plan, and wearing Buffalo shorts makes it way easier to catch a cab. Editorial intern Ashlee rocked a pair of cuffed, dark-wash semi-bleached out Jackson short with an ethnic-print red knit tank and turquoise bead-rope necklace.
Here’s what she had to say about the experience:
“After sashaying my hips in these Buffalo Denim Bermuda Shorts it was love at first sight (and fit). The vintage wash was perfect with my crop top and the cut contoured to my curves, while also making my petite frame, in particular (my short legs) look a mile long. They were soft yet durable, keeping up with me on an eight hour day of running errands without losing snugness. he denim, lasted throughout an 8hr day of running errands, without losing snugness. This was a match made in heaven, I must say!”
Check out Ashlee rocking her shorts below, and stay tuned… the DT bloggers have more summer denim excursions to share…
