While Don’t Cry Baby is no new denim brand, their pastel denim line just hit the market (and are a bit last season in terms of lookbook styling, but we love pretty colors so we won’t complain). They hail from Italy and place an emphasis on environmentally friendly production. Since these candy hues are almost too good to resist, we’re beginning to browse our closets for the best ways to style pastels in the fall! More on that later. For now, flip through this lookbook of pastel denim bliss (with some classic blues thrown in for good measure).

An exciting update on Diesel’s facebook… the dream of living on Diesel island is about to become a reality! After raking in hoards of fans with their controversial lecture series and offering passport applications and real estate stakes on the Diesel Island website, photos of a certain digital paradise being re-created were posted today with the promise that island life is about to be realized. So far the location is secret, but the photos are definitely enough to intrigue.

The new Louis Vuitton jewelry ads are set against a perfect backdrop of denim (from textured-yoke tied workshirts to basic bottoms), with swimwear to set off the season. But nothing illuminates the jewerly (which is actually the last thing you notice in these photos) quite like our favorite cotton twill, non? Denimology mused that they thought the ads were for denim, leading to a rumination over LV’s maybe-someday denim line. But for now, at least their campaign stylists know what’s good for them.

Since the trend is making a comeback (at least in our minds—can we get a hell yeah for gradient denim!?), we couldn’t help but revisit these rad white jeans with easter-egg-esque dye jobs. From the ladie’s line over at Akademiks, these gorgeous, vibrant bottoms have us thinking summer vacation thoughts. Style this look with complimenting colors (but not matching, lest you look like Easter candy yourself) like a pale peach tank for the blue gradient jeans or a cool grey top with the pink gradient. A killer combo? Try an electric yellow top with the purple-dyed jeans.

Believe it or not, summer is right around the corner and Shopbop has got some killer inspiration to get us hyped up for the warm weather. One of our favorites is this Rag & Bone lookbook featuring some of the seasons hottest trends from of-the-moment bold and colorful jeans (check out yesterday’s Tip of the Day for some great styling tips on how to wear colored denim in bold hues) to sheer and mesh tops. We are infatuated with all of the great beach-worthy swimwear pieces, but more-so with how they’re styled them all into the different looks. In one word: perfection! Summer can’t get here soon enough!

Just when we were thinking another day of anti-spring would drive us to impulse buy plane tickets to the tropics, we stumble across the Wildfox Couture Summer 2011 lookbook. A bit of denim mixed in with these dreamy summer looks has us crooning for a week of poolside lounging. We love the black distressed denim cut-offs with the exposed pocket linings and the bold graphic T’s.

Mix textures added to your denim creates a semi-retro fun ’90s look. You can match a floral denim print with an acid-wash pair of jeans, for example. This amps up the excitement factor of your outfit while still keeping it within the realms of chic. Just be sure the rest of your separates are solid colors to avoid looking like a confused ’90s overload. Check out some of these cool mix-textured denim looks below!

Bobby R. pairs an awesome ethnic-print scarf with a loose bohemian top and light acid-wash jeans.

Pixie L. paired a flowy floral top with acid-wash cut-out light wash jeans and killer black ankle boots with plenty of hardware.

Rachel-Marie I. styles her geometric body-hugging dress with a thick black belt and an acid-wash jacket. The look becomes super-mod with two-tone platform wedges.

Olivia H. does classic ’90s grunge to perfection with an oversize flannel, sheer black tights, and high-waisted acid wash shorts. Though recent history, this combo is coming back strong on the street style circuit.

Celeste C. paired a super-cute lip-print top with her vintage acid-wash high-waisted shorts fo a perfect summer beach-side look.

Nadine C. mixes an acid wash dress with pop-color earrings and neon mutli-color tights. A perfect match for her uber-edgy hair.

We left off last week with Moussy’s newest campaign featuring Lindsey Wixson, which was pretty dark and sexy… but their newest lookbook has a strictly summer mood. The vintage-filtered outdoor shots of gorgeous denim outfits will have you craving for sunshine the moment you click. Denim cut-off shorts and wide-leg jeans are mixed with headbands and cowboy fringe amidst palm trees and wood paneled interiors. The ’70s rock’n'roll vibe plays alongside a more contemporary theme with items like a tailored vest and graphic tees. Scroll through to rev up your warm-weather inspiration!

The title says it all, Summer is Bershka! With a youthful incandescence and sense of humor this Spring/Summer 2011 campaign is perfection! We’re loving the eclectic mix of Americana meets collegiate, meets western, meets grunge, meets all kinds of retro, and rock. A lot to take in, isn’t it? One thing is for sure, Bershka definitely stays true to it roots and keeps it young, fresh, and summer-ready. Here are some of our favorite images from the campaign:

The aura of summer is glowing in this series of photos by photographer Antony Nobilo. His lovely subject, Elyse Taylor, wears outfits that almost completely incorporate some strong element of warm weather denim in contrasts to lacy tops and lots of bare skin. This is the work of stylist Sally Dixon, and we’re loving every minute. Row-boating, snaping photos, and prancing through tall grass in nothing but a jean jacket and undies, the carefree spirit and dream-like haze around Elyse shows just how whimsical denim can be. Check out more of Nobilo’s dreamy, sultry work at his photography site.
