White Jeans After Labor Day? Try This Head-To-Toe Look

Late Afternoon is one of our favorite blogs, and this all-white ensemble has us floored. Next-level blogger Liz Cherkasova has paired a white blazer with destroyed denim skinny jeans, cuffed and worn at mid-waist. She paired them with sweet, but serious heels and an array of gold jewelry. When it comes to the archaic rule of not wearing white after labor day, we say go ahead and dress head to toe, like the look below. Would you try it?

How To Pair A Spring Dress & A Denim Jacket

As the ice melts away and we greet spring (with huge, huge smiles, obviously), we’re all facing our closets with similar questions. It’s no easy task dressing for the in-between seasons, when it’s not warm enough to go bare legs, but not cold enough to wrap up in layers. Here’s one tip on pairing your favorites from both season into one great look, care of style blog Swellmayde, featured below.

This look includes a great medium wash denim jacket draped over a black floral dress (the color of the dress, or lack there of, makes it perfect for early spring), with a black leather bag and booties. Both of the accessories have a nice touch of metallic hardware, making this the ideal ensemble for between seasons. See more photos here.

How To Make Double Denim Look Expensive

Once upon a time, the phrase double denim called to mind images of “Canadian tuxedos” and horrific family photos from the 90s featuring multiple generations wearing jean shirts and jeans. But then, a couple years ago, double denim became a thing. The chicest models-off-duty and fashion editors began sporting the look to fashion week, and then style bloggers ran wild with it. Fall is a denim-heavy season to be sure, so to gear up for it, we’re breaking down ways to make your double denim look expensive and stylish, with the help of this great outfit from Viva Luxury.

1. Mix washes. Pairing two medium wash denim pieces together? Bad. Mixing a medium-to-light wash chambray button down with acid wash jeans? Perfection.

2. Tote a chic bag. Head-to-toe denim with a fabric bag over your shoulder definitely looks casual-cool, but not “expensive”. Do yourself a favor and grab your vintage chanel clutch or other cute purse to keep the look high end.

3. Wear fresh kicks. Nothing says “I am effortlessly stylish and I make more money than you!” than a pair of fresh, clean kicks to punctuate your outfit. Bonus points for metallics.

Style Bloggers (Still) Love Denim On Denim

Top fashion blog a pair & a spare revealed a double denim look recently, providing evidence that this double application of our favorite fiber hasn’t left the realm of on-trend just yet. And really, it may never fade. Why? Because it’s seriously chic, and there are as many ways to approach it as there are denim washes.

2. We’re curious to hear what you guys think about J Brand x Christopher Kane’s continued collaboration… We’re waiting to see if this one grows on us.
