Or maybe a better question is, did they ever leave? 70s-inspired flare leg and bell bottom jeans are definitely an acquired taste, but we’ve seen them pulled off with ease by style stars each year since they were a socially acceptable trend in their decade of origin. Want to get in on this trend? Shop some of our favorite current renditions of the bell bottom jean below.

It’s finally March, and while the cold season is still churning out nearly intolerable days, you may have begun to wonder how to transition your denim into spring. One of our favorite bloggers, Sincerely Jules, illustrates the perfect way to bring your layered wintered look into spring with a pair of white destroyed denim skinny jeans and a blush-hued sweatshirt. She ties her chambray shirt around her waist and tops the whole thing off with epic jeweled earrings. We’re in love!
The break down?
Trade in darker denim hues for whites and pastels.
Mix rosy hues with light colored outerwear.
Tie previously worn layers, like a chambray shirt, around your waist.
Keep it sweet by mixing destroyed denim with epic earrings.

Once upon a time, the phrase double denim called to mind images of “Canadian tuxedos” and horrific family photos from the 90s featuring multiple generations wearing jean shirts and jeans. But then, a couple years ago, double denim became a thing. The chicest models-off-duty and fashion editors began sporting the look to fashion week, and then style bloggers ran wild with it. Fall is a denim-heavy season to be sure, so to gear up for it, we’re breaking down ways to make your double denim look expensive and stylish, with the help of this great outfit from Viva Luxury.

1. Mix washes. Pairing two medium wash denim pieces together? Bad. Mixing a medium-to-light wash chambray button down with acid wash jeans? Perfection.
2. Tote a chic bag. Head-to-toe denim with a fabric bag over your shoulder definitely looks casual-cool, but not “expensive”. Do yourself a favor and grab your vintage chanel clutch or other cute purse to keep the look high end.
3. Wear fresh kicks. Nothing says “I am effortlessly stylish and I make more money than you!” than a pair of fresh, clean kicks to punctuate your outfit. Bonus points for metallics.
