Well, what do we have here? Gerard Butler was seen cycling around Mexico City this week, looking muy guapo, in his Citizens of Humanity Sid straight leg jeans in Rainforest wash. He is in town to promote his latest film, “Olympus Has Fallen.” These straight leg jeans fit him a bit slimmer around the calf, so no getting that denim stuck in the chain. We also love the hem length: no dragging the floor! Maybe Gerry just looks great in anything, but his Citizens jeans sure looks sharp and comfy, even if only worn with a simple shirt and sneakers.

Jean.Machine unveiled an exciting collaboration with Missoni during the men’s AW13 runway show last week in Milan. Jean.Machine’s signature styles were re-worked to feature iconic Missoni knit patterns (an amazing alternative to men’s colored denim for those who want to side-step obvious trends this year) on details such as pockets. Another favorite, the JM 4 jacket, was redesigned to include a detachable Missoni wool waistcoat on the inside. All styles will be available in early June from the Jean Machine website, Missoni stores worldwide, and other select retail locations.

Is this a couple Made In Heaven or what (get it?)! Celebrity couple Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge were seen out in New York recently, wearing MiH and Jean.Machine jeans, respectively, and don’t they look badass? Sienna is wearing MiH Breathless skinny jeans in Nep ($233), as seen on Lana Del Rey recently, and Tom is wearing the Jean.Machine J.M.-1 Slim in Dried ($250). If you recall, Jean Machine was founded by MiH Founder Chloe Lonsdale’s father back in the 70s, but brought back from the archives and revamped. What do you think of their celebrity street style?

Francine recently tried a little experiment with her Agave Jeans (we’re in the experimenting mood lately). She tried wearing three different pairs with one top and necklace combo, to see if the classic styles would all work with her favorite top of the moment. The results were three new favorite outfits, and some rave reviews about Agave Jeans’ fit and fabrication!
The Fusta Slim Jegging: These are so soft (literally like butter) and versatile. Perfect for summer… these are definite beach pants material, and the button-up ankle detail gives it a bit of a nautical twist. I can also see myself wearing these for fall.
The Paloma Classic Skinny: Before trying them on I knew they had to be amazing, because Paloma it’s my daughter’s name! But seriously, these super-skinny jeans are an instant favorite. They fit like a dream.
The Tomboy Boyfriend Straight leg: Another pair with super soft, comfortable fabric (and another potential pair of favorite summer beach pants). Despite being boyfriend jeans these have a classic feminine fit, which is perfect for me. Love them!
Stay tuned for more on Agave’s latest styles, and don’t forget to check them out online!

Ahhh, summer. The sand, the surf, the skimpiest jean shorts you can squeeze into. What’s not to love about the sultriest time of the year? Summer’s also the time when everyone loosens up and casual dressing is de rigueur—meaning denim can work almost anywhere. But just slipping into the first jeans-and-a-tee combo you find is a bit boring, so we asked the James Jeans design team how they’re planning to get creative with their denim styling this summer.
Here are their top 5 tips:
1. ) The ’80s are back in full force, so try pairing your high waisted jeans with crop tops. Our High Class style is ideal for this.
2.) Cuff your skinny and straight leg jeans, making them into crops.
3.) We all have that pair of jeans we know we’re never gonna wear again. This summer, convert them into distressed, rolled shorts.
4.) We’re all about the DIY. Ombre your cut-off shorts (tutorial courtesy of Could I Have That?) or add studs to selected areas.
5.) Send last summer’s white jeans to Denim Therapy and get them tie dyed a la Isabel Marant’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

One of our guilty pleasures, Lana Del Rey, was seen leaving the Radio One Live Lounge in West London on April 11. She wore the G-Star 3301 Straight in Medium Aged with a sports jacket. We love that she goes from cocktail dresses to jeans so easily. We guess that’s why she calls herself “gangsta Nancy Sinatra”.

DT’s Eric recently pulled on his first pair of OPENMARKET jeans (the K1 tailored straight leg jean in red), and he’s here to tell you all about it. OPENMARKET is an LA-based men’s denim and knit basics brand—we showed you their rugged lookbook last week. Eric had been searching for a pair of red jeans for a while, and now that he has himself a pair, he’ll tell you what he thinks.
What was your first thought when you tried them on?
They seriously kick ass. These are my first pair of jeans that aren’t black, blue or gray… so I was extremely excited to get them.
Within an hour of wearing them, I received compliments from customers who demanded to know where I got these awesome jeans. I’ll never forget the day I got them- it was a Friday. On the way to the bar, after work, people couldn’t help but stare at them as I passed by on the sidewalk. It didn’t stop there. Everyone at the bar was asking about my awesome new pair of red jeans.
Where/when would you wear these?
I will probably wear these all the time. They are surprisingly versatile forsuch a bold color and they go really well with my favorite blue sweater. I wore themto the bar, the beer garden and some non-alcoholic venues like work. They are sharp looking for a night out and comfortable enough to just wear around the house.
How’s the fit?
I’m 6’6 and pretty tough to please when it comes to size and fit, but these jeans look and feel amazing. They are a slim fit, but they don’t feel tight. I really don’t think I’ve ever had a pair of jeans that fit so ideally on my stature.
One of the best things about the jeans are the back pockets: the intricate detail in the stitching catches the eye and let’s you know that these are quality. I now know the joy of having red jeans, and look forward to adding more color to my wardrobe!
