We’re not gonna lie, we’re still firmly planted on the pastel colored denim wagon. So you can imagine our delight upon seeing DL1961‘s whole collection of faded neons and pastel jeans for men in the works. With styles both full length and short, the vibrant dyes are faded and worn around pockets and seams to create a vintage-creamsicle appeal. These babies are ready to add some zest to your spring wardrobe.
If we learned one thing at the spring 2013 previews this season, it’s that colored denim is living on as a leading trend in denim. Gap went above and beyond by offering an entire rainbow spectrum of colors, from an adventures yellow to a more casual cyan blue. Also on the menu, broken-in khakis in pastel versions of their denim counterparts, printed blazers, and dark “lived-in wash” jeans. Basically, everything you need to add some prep to your spring look.

We’ve all been there: You go thrifting with your friends, trying to turn yourself into a springtime hippie goddess, find the most amazing jeans from the 70s — the ones that automagically turn you into a modern day Stevie Nicks — but there’s just one problem… the fit. They “fit” and all, like, they’re your size, but something’s just a little off. Whether it’s the length, the rise, or even the tightness of the butt, Denim Therapy is here to make those amazing jeans YOURS. Check out our services page to see just how many ways we can fulfill your vintage denim dreams. We can even make them maternity jeans! Groovy!
Spring can be slightly unpredictable, what with freak rain storms and days of blissful sun. For those who refuse to lug around their over-sized coats, consider the denim jacket as your new spring fashion staple item. Now re-fashioned in every desirable fabric weight available to the average gentleman, you can be just as dressy or paired down as you like. Take a look at some new fabrications of the jeans jacket: everything from the classic to country-club acceptable. Yes, even colored denim options are brought back from years past, with a fresh point of view in structure and tailoring.
We’re totally grooving to the party beat in 7 For All Mankind‘s second fashion campaign video, “Birthday Party,” which features lots of cool party people celebrating a birthday party, California style. So even if the winter blues are getting to you, watch the video to escape and be transported to a warmer time, a spring and summer of endless partying in skimpy bikinis, denim cutoffs and unbuttoned chambray shirts; flipflops optional, and lampshade hats are provided.
The non-stop influx of exciting textures and prints for spring continues, and this time we’ve got our eyes on the latest tie-dye style from J Brand, dubbed the 810 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg ($198). Imagine these beauties with a breezy white sheer top over a bandeau, or even an old vintage rocker tee. They’ll add a new level of dimension to your legs!
Naked & Famous‘ Mens Spring/Summer 2012 line is sticking to its roots with authentic, top-quality, raw denim, but while increasing the options you have to get your hands on it. They have taken their skinny, mid-rise, and tapered cuts and released them in new colors such as red and wine, constructions, and surfaces. So now you can really find the pair of jeans that is best and most comfortable for your body, and still know that you’re wearing some of the most rare and unique denim, straight from Japan. What we’re really jealous of are the raspberry scented low-rise jeans—we mean, amazing denim that smells amazing too? Yes please. Besides the colored denim, they also are offering slim-fitted button downs to patch their red denim palette, along with a crisp, dark-wash jean jacket which is a definite must-have if your guy still hasn’t caught on to this classic trend yet.
DIMITRIS ZOZ is an Italian denim brand with a lot going on. They’re not a jeans company—they produce high quality denim products that extend far beyond the baby blue’s you wear on your legs. Their aim is fashion-forward design that survives the whims of passing trends and seasons, and they execute this through sportswear (workshirts, outerwear, jeans) accessories (tote bags, shoulder bags), a line of denim home furniture, and most recently, a collection of pastel shorts, covered in studs. You may not be ready to commit to a denim couch, but we can bet you’ll wanna rock these shorts in the spring!
The newLF lookbook for Spring 2012 is full of amazing shoes–we mean really, LOOK at those floralplatforms! But we know what you’re thinking! What in the world do you wear with such greatshoes? Well fellow denim heads, the answer is simple: greatdenim! Coloreddenim is an especially good choice because it lets you still have some fun with your denim without overpowering the bold look of the shoes. If you want to really take a risk, flared jeans would be the way to go, but we really like the way the skinny ankle-cut jeans allow for the entire shoe to be showed off. Find out where the nearest LF store is to you, and make your wardrobe that much more fun.
We are happy to report that after looking at the Denimocracy Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook, you will all be pleased! Brands don’t always cater to more than one type of customer, but by offering both jeggings and real denim in this line, what is not to love? While of course we’re big fans of the actual denim pieces (especially those light-wash flares!), we think the jeggings are the standout items for this collection. The paint-splattered design as well as the white jeggings with a colorfulflowerprint really let you have fun while looking your best, and that is definitely always a nice thing to be able to do. Keep an eye out for it at Denimocracy.
