Now that we’ve entered into a new year, there’s no time like the present to go back — way back — to the 70s. With 2010 ending in skinny bell jeans, thanks to brands like 7 For All Mankind and some innovative tailoring from Stone Blue Jeans‘ mini flare “Jessie” jeans, 2011 is poised for a 1970s revival in all things denim. Ironically, for men, we will likely continue to see the slim, narrow and boot cuts, but in vintage washes.
Since everyone still seems to be hooked on the slim/skinny jeans look, be on the look out for the evolution of skinny bell bottoms, vintage denim washes, chambray work shirts (great for early spring!), and possibly — dare we say — double denim looks. We think the bell bottom look will catch on easily with women, while lots of vintage finishes and bleached-out washes will be out in stores for men, in time for spring-summer 2011.
