Just because the warm weather has officially left us doesn’t mean you have to dress as dreary as it is outside. This outfit shows you a great way to incorporate bright colors into your winter wardrobe–think your favorite summer outfit but with some additions. By throwing on some sheer tights and a knit beanie, you’ve got the layers you need to stay comfortable, but still looking good. We love how this fashion blogger from Scotland keeps the rest of her outfit simple with her beige clutch and black ankle booties so her royal blue top is not overpowered, but allowed to really stand out. Sometimes people think of denim and they immediately think of a casual look, but this fashion blogger proves them wrong. She dresses up the denim on denim trend in such an easy way by adding sheer tights, black lace-up booties and a simple blazer to her light-wash denim work shirt and high-waisted jeans shorts. The loose bow around the collar along with the touch of gold in the braided belt give this outfit a really polished look. The best thing about this outfit though, is how you can not only use it as a go-to for dressing up denim, but also as an inspiration for your style and mix and match these pieces however you would like.

The great thing about the Uniqlo 2011-2012 Fall Winter Women’s Lookbook is the coloring: rich shades that will make you pop no matter how drab the upcoming weather chooses to be. From the classic blue wash to autumn colors like champagne and apricot, these skinny jeans are easy to fall in love with. For us though, the cargo skinny jean adds that bit of detail that makes the buy really worth it. Uniqlo definitely encourages layering for next season, which is always a good way to keep warm and stylish…especially when rocking those badass (but not cold-weather friendly!) sheer tights. The trick that they reveal here, is to keep the top half somewhat structured–wear a fitted top, add in a belt, or accessorize with a scarf & you will avoid that blob-like look that can be (unfortunately) easy to fall into when layering.
