The Artisan de Luxe Men’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection has a ton of staple items, but with a twist. By adding contrasting denim, red leather, and fabric patches to white tees and cargo pants, we have great options that can easily be paired with a classic dark-wash jean, just as they show in the lookbook. We also really like how they offer distressed and ripped denim, as well as a variety of washes from light to dark. The real stand out piece for us though is the distressed denim blazer—a modern twist on the common jean jacket. This line is definitely not for the guy that wants to play it safe, but after all, where is the fun in that? Find it at the Artisan de Luxe online shop in the coming months.

We shined light on the Balmain Homme Spring 2011 lineup in September, fawning over the classic-cool college guy meets military stud appeal. Now the lookbook has dropped and stolen the show, with James Dean-worthy styling bathed in sun on a backdrop of neutrals. These looks translate perfectly from the most casual daytime routine to the front row of your favorite fly-by-night indie rock band concert. All hail Balmain!
