If you don’t live in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Chicago or San Francisco, then you might be a tad disappointed when the H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection hits select stores in those cities on December 14. The “dark, urban collection” is inspired by Lisbeth Salander, the anti-heroine from the highly-anticipated film adaptation to “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” H&M’s collaboration with costume designer Trish Summerville promises to feed accessible fashion addicts with edgy jackets, torn jeans, and hoodies colored in the deepest shades of black, white, grey and crimson. Lucky Manhattanites will get dibs on H&M’s pop-up store in the Meatpacking District (72 Gansevoort St) opening December 14th at noon.

Punk gets a tough-meets-chic makeover in this editorial from the pages of Interview Magazine, and boy are we loving it! Styled by the brilliant Marie-Am?lie Sauv?, the combination of pattern-clashing prints and bold colors comes together perfectly mixed with true punk separates like leather and denim. From ultra-tattered and scribbled on to colorful and bold patterns like snake print and bold stripes (our fave), you certainly wont find a pair of plain blue jeans in sight. It definitely doesn’t get more punk than this!

We’ve obviously been all about color lately, but even we can’t deny how totally killer this monotone look by blogger Jim Dumont of France is. Monotone definitely doesn’t equal boring, and here’s your proof. We can’t stress how crucial it is to add interest strategically when you’re rocking a simple ensemble, and Jim’s DIY bleached out jeans do the trick. The tie dye jeans add enough character to land him a spot on stage in a nu-wave punk band, and subtle styling details like his rolled sleeves and buttoned-all-the-way-up shirt keep it retro. The combat boots and John Lennon glasses are the icing on the cake. This look says rebel yell all over it.

June’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain features Dutch beauty Anna de Rejk looking anything but sweet in this killer punk-western inspired editorial. From studs and safety pins on ultra bleached out denim to worn in western leather, the best of both worlds come together for a what Harper’s calls a new take of London punk style. All we have to say is that if Anna can rock a cropped denim jacket with fringe (which we’re totally into, by the way) over a pair of leather pants with lace-up details and manage to give it a punk edge, then it’s a definite ace look in our book!
