Not all beautiful things grow in the garden, but printed denim options are growing like wild-flowers. Okay, enough floral puns! We’re here to introduce 6 pairs of jeans that have nothing to do with floral print. They fall more into the families of polka-dots, pinstripes, and various interpretations of geometric-tribal. What they all have in common is, you can throw on a basic tee and you’ve got an outfit made.

The pre-fall collection included a fresh selection of pastel hues in pinks, blues, and greys with prints like feathers and florals. Floral jeans reversed to a medium blue jean wash, which, when cuffed, turned into what we professionally describe as the cutest-jeans-ever. The Vintage Mercury 2013 collection featured beautiful metallic jeans, from champagne to pewter. Picking a favorite? Pretty much impossible.

Kate Moss wore a pair of Current/Elliott The Stiletto Skinny jeans (she loves printed denim when animal prints are involved) to the Christmas Light Ceremony in London. She attended the ceremony with her mini-me—we love how her daughter’s hair, leather jacket, and boots-obsession seems to match her own. Love these jeans? Grab a pair of Current/Elliott leopard print skinny jeans as an early holiday gift to your closet.

Buffalo David Bitton delivers a mix of key trends and undisputed classics for both sexes in their latest fall/winter denim delivery. Women can choose between traditional styles like medium-wash skinny and mid-rise flare—or they can go for more festive fare, like metallic snakeskin ankle-zip jeans or autumnal yellow colored denim. Men are likewise treated to traditional selections in classic washes… but the more fashion-forward gents can score a pair of saturated teal skinnies. We’re favoring the latter. Other coveted styles include abstract and animal prints and carefully cultivated washes. It’s not easy to choose, but here’s one thing we’re sure of: Buffalo David Bitton is stepping up their denim game. Are you in?

Industry innovators Hudson Jeans are taking printed denim to the next level by using Photoreal imagery in a range of digitally printed jeans. Sounds amazing, right? It is. As you see in the prints below, they’re blowing past brands using repeated floral patterns and animal prints by working with full blown landscapes and intricate gradients. ”Prints are everywhere, so we wanted to find a new technique that would allow us to be more aspirational and forward,” Hudson creative director Ben Taverniti told Style.com.
These babies will be available at Hudson Jeans on February 28th. Mark your calendars.

When we stopped by CLOSED to preview their spring 2013 line, one pair of jeans immediately stood out from the rest in the spectrum of Euro-chic rockstar-ready denim and knitwear. A pair of printed purple jeans with a beautiful motif that looks as if it was snatched right out of a Japanese anime (or a Yakuza tattoo parlor). The dynamic design was also available in a jacket. We’re pretty sure this is the beginning of a next-level trend in printed jeans that really transform the silhouette and infuse some imagination into the kind of prints we’ve already been seeing. You saw it here first!
Look out for the full CLOSED preview, coming soon.
