The end of the world was supposed to occur last weekend, and though we spent more time laughing over Gawker coverage than we did preparing for devastation, some people took to partying like the black plague was on their heels. And what textile did they choose to die in, should the bitter end come suddenly? Denim, obviously. The Cobra Snake snapped these chaotic photos at the End Of The World party, featuring some great denim jackets, and even a pair of overalls. We say if there is a man out there willing to spend his final hours dancing in a pair of overalls, there is still hope for humanity.

Last night, I was having a grand old time sipping lots of wine by Paso Robles winemaker Kenneth Volk — very smooth by the way – while shopping and watching beautiful people at a party to launch Bijouxs, a new foodie blog. In the sea of fashionistas, I spotted this man who looked like he just came back from a fabulous Milan retreat. Looking tanned and relaxed, I felt he was the sort of person that my hero The Sartorialist would have shot, except, of course, he would’ve done way better than li’l ole me. When I asked the man if I could photograph him for Denim Therapy, he was a bit embarrassed, but happy to oblige. Then, I became nervous when he told me that he was a professional photographer. What did I get myself into! Here’s photographer Bill Livingston’s easy, California casual look.
