Last night, Denim Therapy was treated to some beer and barbecue at an exclusive preview of Nudie Jeans‘ new concept store, Nudie House, in Los Angeles. Now open, the store is situated just off the famous Melrose Avenue strip in Hollywood, characterized by wooden beams and industrial-like furnishings and fixtures; however, the space is surprisingly warm and inviting. Externally, you know it’s a store, but it also feels like you’re hanging out at a hip friend’s house. The store will also serve as Nudie Jeans’ West Coast showroom. In attendance was Nudie Founder Palle Stenberg, who just flew in from Gothenburg Sweden.
Similar to a museum structure, “concepts of Nudie will be showcased every three months, with the organic story kicking it all off.” The store offers a range of denim from its coveted jeans to denim jackets, denim bags and accessories. Look for Nudie’s new styles: the Hank Rey regular fit jean and Sharp Bengt (made with their new dry orange selvage), the latest incarnation of the Big Bengt jean. Prices range from $179 to $299.
