Cult denim designer Simon Miller is still NSF Clothing‘s men’s denim designer, but the brand is finally spreading its wings and adding a new women’s denim line for Spring 2012. Jamie Haller, NSF’s new Creative Director, is producing a full women’s collection, adding to its current offerings of knitwear. The new women’s collection will bring dressier and more feminine separates made from luxurious material such as soft leather and silk. To round out the new collection, women’s denim became an important addition. For Spring 2012, NSF will offer 5 new styles in jeans for men: Camrose, Hillcrest, Knoll, Outpost and Sycamore, all in straight leg jeans fits in selvedge denim; whereas, the women’s line will offer both classic and trendy fits in slouch fit jeans, overalls, denim jackets, shorts overalls and bell bottoms.

NSF Clothing has tapped Simon Miller as their denim creative director for the brand’s expansion into denim. For this new partnership, Simon Miller created six different washes in Japanese selvedge denim and one classic straight fit cut. Every pair is made in Los Angeles using a special edition 13-ounce Japanese selvedge denim, with the washes hand-executed through a proprietary 15 to 20 step process. Look for “authentic” shaped fly, lined back pockets, classic gold thread seaming, and tucked-in belt loops. “It’s our approach to hand craftsmanship and sewing details that make these jeans standouts. You know once you wear them,” says Simon.
NSF Denim is available exclusively at top retailers, including: Ron Herman, Fred Segal, Roden Gray and Nordstrom. For more information, go to NSF Clothing online.
