Moussy keeps up the good pace for spring 2012 with a new round of rocker-chic denim separates, leather jackets, and general badassery that fits nicely into any wardrobe. Abbey Lee Kershaw models the campaign once again, photographed by the notorious Terry Richardson in a high contrast display of studs, star print, and acid wash. Abbey displays her ability to make non-glamorous activities look exciting, like standing in a bathroom and eating fast food. We’re digging it.
Keep up with the Japanese brand’s NY extension on facebook.

We’ve been all over Moussy NY since their state-side debut, from the opening party to our tour of the merch (cue starry eyes). With their rock’n'roll denim ranging from printed, colored, and destroyed to acid wash and basic solids, they’ve made us re-think the level of biker babe we’re infusing into our cold weather look this season. But beyond looking awesome, these are jeans you’ll feel comfortable in. Below, our editor Michelle Christina tells us how she feels in her favorite Moussy jeans—the Chemical Blue Wash skinnies.
What was your first thought when you tried them on? I was so excited that they fit at all! I went down about two sizes in jeans over the past few months, so I am psyched. But aside from that, I was thinking how much I love the wash, and how cool it looks with this red plaid shirt.
Where/when would you wear these? Definitely with a pair of crazy Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s and a tailored button-down… with my hair up. Or with this exact plaid shirt I’m wearing in the photos. Anywhere, anytime. I think they’re really versatile. Most people wouldn’t wear them to work, but I work at Denim Therapy!
How’s the fit? A little loose around the ankle for my taste, but if I cuff them up it works. They are comfortable, they make my butt look good. I’d love if the rise was slightly higher, but overall the fit passes the MC test. Thanks Moussy!
