Is it any surprise that top fashion models love to wear denim? You’ve seen New York Fashion Week models saunter down the catwalk in next year’s most exciting new threads. But, between shows, what do these panther-prowling, platform trotting muses’ preferred go-to wardrobe basic? An acid-bleached denim jacket? Ombré skinny jeans? Sure, why not! And don’t you just want to hate them for always looking good, off duty or not! Check out these street style photos via Refinery29 and Harper’s Bazaar in which NYFW Spring-Summer 2013 models off duty are snapped in their personally-styled outfit of the day.

With all the talk of denim at Fashion Week in New York, London, Paris and Milan, we can sometimes forget about what the models wear when they are off duty. Style.com pulled together 10 street styles snapped outside the fashion shows. The 10 Best-Dressed Poll features some of the most recognized names in fashion and modeling: Giovanna Battaglia, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Christine Centenera, Frida Gustavsson, Kate Moss, Arizona Muse, Hanneli Mustaparta, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Joan Smalls and Natalia Vodianova. Four out of the 10 looks captured featured models wearing their jeans the only way to knew how. We get this notion that the models prefer to be themselves (albeit gorgeously) in some comfy jeans. You can vote for your favorite Fashion Week Best-Dressed look through Wednesday, October 12. What’s your favorite look?

For your viewing and listening pleasures, we bring you model Brianna of Look Models, romping around in a couple of denim cutoff shorts. In “Summer Fun,” Brianna is styled with a couple of beach-friendly tops, taking a stroll while Beck’s “Golden Age” sets the mood. Don’t you just love those lazy weekends? And, don’t think we didn’t notice that she’s showing off a pair of Levi’s high-waisted jeans which have been cut at a slight bias, revealing more on the hips, and longer at the inner thighs. With a bit of fraying, the cut offs look very DIY, but done very well. What do you think of this look? Would you have gone with a low-rise pair of jeans, or do you think this is perfection?
