If tie-dye and acid wash aren’t really your thing, the extreme contrast of dip-dye denim might be more your taste. From light wash to extreme blue (or a pop-color, if you’re feeling daring), the impact made on a pair of jeans or a denim jacket that experience this transformation can turn an entire outfit from common to killer. Dries Van Noten has a few key pieces on the market that are giving this trend another spin.

Miss Sixty enlist once again the sexy and charismatic Bel?n Rodriguez for their print and television spring summer 2011 campaign. We absolutely adore these stills from the TV commercial and with a catch phrase like “Me…Me… Miss Sixty” to go along with the fun and flirty feel of it all how could you not think its a hit? Not to mention she looks utterly gorgeous in Miss Sixty Jeans! The commercial has already hit most of Italy’s popular television networks, and though we wish it would hit state side chances are it wont hit the air waves on this side of the pond. But don’t fret, you can catch it on the Miss Sixty online zine—you’re gonna love it, promise!

CURRENT/ELLIOTT The Biker Jacket in Sundrenched Chambray.
I have been reinspired by this summer’s interpretations of smart denim jackets that can go with just about anything. My only fashion pairing caveat is that folks not wear actual denim jackets with matching denim jeans or shorts. The last I checked, this blog has banned the Canadian Tuxedo. How Justin Timberlake recovered from his Red Carpet faux pas — back in the Britney days — to become the Denimisto that he is today with the popular William Rast denim label, is nothing short of an ironic miracle.
BBLESSING Light Blue Chambray Jacket, available online at BBLESSING.
Check out these denim and chambray jackets! It’s a mix of classic, never out of style, to retro interpretations that boldly go where few have gone. A word of caution:
Don’t even think about walking into a Michelin-starred, jacket-required restaurant with these babies. They probably don’t count as “proper attire.”
Do show them off at lunchy places, nightspots and other hip and swanky establishments that allow you to express your fashion-forward side.
Do throw your denim-inspired jackets over your favorite summer fashion finds.

Oh my. There are so many sales, I can’t manage to keep up with them all (and neither can my wallet). Now, I know Miss Sixty often holds sales at their boutiques, but I’ve never actually tried their online sales. This one seems pretty decent. Some really cute capris, bermudas, high-waisted shorts, trouser style and skinny jeans that could really uplift my spirits — and assets — this summer. Oh, the sale, by my guestimate, is 50% off and many jeans under $100. Darn those folks at Miss Sixty. Darn them.
