1. Mother Denim has released a new style—it’s called the Prep trouser, which comes in key fits the Looker, the Curfew, or the Crop Runway. Grab them for $185.
2. Speaking of new styles, Joe’s Jeans has also released a new future-best-seller: red drawstring denim shorts with a front lace-up feature.
3. Jessica Alba demonstrates an amazing sense of color palette coordination in this outfit, utilizing a pair of Nobody Denim Mod skinny jeans in Amber. It’s so rare that celeb shots are actually stylish! Well played, J.
4. GQ has a four page article up on the history of the menswear blogging movement (for which their records date back about 12 years).
5. Honeysuckle has been ousted as the favorite color of the people (and more importantly, the fashion world). Last week, Pantone named Tangerine Tango the 2012 Color Of The Year. We guess Maria Menounos knew this already.

As the season of layering knits and donning hats creeps up on us, inspiration is showing up rapid-fire on blogs across the web for fall fashion ensembles. If you find yourself in need of second-hand styling, you’re in the right place. Whether you prefer the scholastic preppy look with monograms and polos or something a little more downtown NYC with rough edges, you’ll find what you need to get started below…
Tony from Paris mixes a skinny fit jean with super-casual slip-on shoes and a cuffed up workshirt.
Giuliano from Zurich gets preppy with a light color v-neck sweater and grey stone wash jeans. He knows a thing or two about playing off his dark facial features to make a real statement.
Martin from Sweden adds a pop of red to a blue and grey ensemble and throws classy shoes in the mix. His medium-wash jeans play nicely off the red collar. The finishing touch, we’re not gonna lie, is the pompadour hair ‘do!
Oleg from Moscow has his browns down to a science. His earth tone sweater of a bright blue wash denim workshirt (buttoned up to the top—details, details!) are the perfect top to his rich burnt orange pants.
Youri from Casablanca goes for a British rocker look with a brimmed hat and denim vest over a t-shirt and skinny jeans. This look can be worn all day and all night.
