Men’s Street Style in Denim at Pitti Uomo

This past weekend, fashion photographer Tommy Ton was out doing some style stalking at mens fashion week Pitti Uomo in Florence.  Men (and women) braved the cold weather in their finest, and denim fashion was aplenty.  We loved the casual juxtaposition between desaturated jeans and sartorial suiting complements as much as the use of denim jackets and dark wash jeans as the key element to a dressed up ensemble.  Nobody was trying to show off.  Right.

Street Style: Prints + Double Denim For A Bright Winter Look

Not feeling dark shades this winter? We aren’t either! But lets face it, sometimes it’s hard not to result to black during the cooler seasons. An easy way to keep your wardrobe on the bright side is to mix and match different shades of denim and by adding interest to any look with interesting prints and patterns. Mohcine Aoki does just that by styling a cool fair isle sweater with a not so matchy, matchy double denim ensemble (we really dig his light washed denim jacket!). To ensure you keep things bright, style in accessories with pops of color and in warmer shades like brown instead of black.

1. Topman ecru geometric pattern sweater ($60) — buy it at Topman.

2. Levi’s hop cap boots ($272) — buy it at ASOS.

3. Miracle Icons tourmaline bead bracelet ($115) — buy it at Barneys Co-Op.

4. Ksubi The Roadie skinny jean ($215) — buy it at American Rag.

5. Acne Steve Pearl denim jacket ($240) — buy it at SSENSE.

Street Style: Camo + Bleached Out Denim

Wearing camouflage  can be pretty tricky (and sometimes even impossible!). Stylish and always casual-cool Mohcine of Morocco shows us how to sport the print the right way without looking like you’re ready to get your Rambo on. He pairs a pair of bleached out jeans with a thoroughly buttoned shirt in an overall dark and subtle camo print. We really dig how the two textures give off a cool and modern vibe! Too much going on for your taste? Throwing on a cool hooded leather jacket will not only tone things down and anchor things but will add an extra bit of edge! We’ve broken the look down for you for some style direction, check it out bellow!

1. YMC P2A16 Placket camel cam shirt ($227) — buy it at Coggles.

2. Mr. Zero distressed bleached jeans ($82) — buy it at Yes Style.

3. Marc by Marc Jacobs washed leather bomber jacket ($890) — buy it at Mr. Porter.

4. Peter 2 black leather military boots ($170) — buy it at Topman.

Street Style: Light Wash Denim Jacket And All White Duds

Color has no expiration date in our book especially when it comes to looking fashionable—what works, works! And that definitely includes white (don’t say we didn’t warn ya). This street style snap goes to show that all white can still be a total fashion do.  A buttoned light wash denim jacket, short brim hat (totally 80s), and a pop of color with a cognac round-toe shoe makes this guys all white outfit look young and modern. Will you be wearing white this fall? We think yes!

Street Style: DIY Bleached Out Denim + Punk Appeal

We’ve obviously been all about color lately, but even we can’t deny how totally killer this monotone look by blogger Jim Dumont of France is. Monotone definitely doesn’t equal boring, and here’s your proof. We can’t stress how crucial it is to add interest strategically when you’re rocking a simple ensemble, and Jim’s DIY bleached out jeans do the trick. The tie dye jeans add enough character to land him a spot on stage in a nu-wave punk band, and subtle styling details like his rolled sleeves and buttoned-all-the-way-up shirt keep it retro.  The combat boots and John Lennon glasses are the icing on the cake. This look says rebel yell all over it.
