Italian denim label Meltin’Pot is launching an exciting new campaign to accompany their SS12 collection, titled “Tune Into Summer“. Quote the label, “Wherever you are, no matter the weather or what part of the world you live in, the summer mindset is within you. It’s like rediscovering your sun kissed pictures from last summer, and reliving those moments amongst likeminded friends. You’re instantly filled with the fun, joy and laughter of those moments. Your free spirit takes over, and you’re ready to take the world by storm.” We dig it. See the full campaign image set & video below.

Details on the SS12 line: Original workwear designs are updated and revisited in a more than a vintage attitude: these work inspired jeans recapture the original magic of denim and the “good old days”. The Yacht Master collection is about a way of life with the look of a boyish, new, modern dandy, who moves with style and sophistication in an urban backdrop. A trailblazing pirate type who plays between city streets and exotic spots, he’s a trendsetter in versatile clothes: Jeanswear leads to sartorial experimentation.
The Meltin’Pot woman’s collection is an exclusive and ultra-feminine interpretation of the Meltin’Pot man’s denim world, perfected in fit and washes however for women and infused with cutting fashion edginess – giving an alluring appeal to the women’s collection this spring summer.
The website (which launches on the 23rd) has a brand new look and feel for SS12, and is full of “new season energy”.
Stay tuned, we’re announcing an awesome Meltin’ Pot giveaway very soon!

Meltin’ Pot showed us that tough guys can do preppy, and we totally dug it! And now they’re showing us how nice gals do tough in their latest lookbook, and we have to say we’re huge fans! So what does it really take for a good girl to go bad? For starters, style a pair of combat boots with floral denim shorts (nothing says tough more than florals and boots)! Throw in some studded leather suspenders to rock with an ultra-cool pair of faded boyfriend jeans, and you’re pretty much set! Check out the full lookbook bellow!

Italian denim brand Meltin’ Pot Jeans launches their Style Me Up campaign: “about the blend of cultures and creating new ones and truly embracing the diversities of life, which is what Meltin’Pot is made from.” Their e-shop is set to launch March 10 (sorry, no U.S. or U.K. access).
From The Denim Guy:
So the project kicks off with the infamous Tokyo-based duo, Dan Bailey and Kazuaki Joe K that are Tokyo Dandy. The three models are Joe from Tokyo Dandy, Shingo who is an actor and Peli a stylist and one of Tokyo’s hottest DJs. We asked them to bring their own accessories and left our styling to finding the right leg cut – the most important factor when wearing jeans.
Japanese fashion is often seen as involving a lot of layering and perhaps over styling so for ‘Style Me Up’ we wanted to focus on denim as a uniform classic which allows for you to show off your accessories, body and above all personality. Even with the busy kitsch background, like that of a busy street anywhere in the world, you can stand out in a pair of jeans.
10 TokyoDandy styling tips for the season.
1. Turn up collars, roll up sleeves – fit your clothes to your body.
2. Chromophobia is the fear of bright colors – this is unacceptable -embrace color! Even just a little with a bright tie or pair of socks, or if you’re really daring your hair.
3. Cut off jean legs in Summer for the comfiest pair of shorts…

Bright colors, debonair hats, cuffed denim shorts paired with black dress shoes… this is the kind of menswear you don’t have to think twice about. It works on either coast, it has a hint of downtown-cool, and somehow even the khaki-colored cargo with a skinny-elastic hem doesn’t seem like it’s trying too hard. Meltin’ Pot‘s spring 2011 lookbook has successfully combined the best things about sportswear and come out on top.
We’ll be keeping an eye on them this year. See the full editorial here.
