One of the leading denim trends right now is the ’70s style flare leg jeans, but is anybody really wearing it off the pages of a magazine? Who What Wear has documented a few stylish ladies from the Stockholm streets to New York City. Note from WWW: do not go all-out and take the ’70s vibe literally. You can look elegant and on-trend by pairing your fluid wide leg jeans with a structured blazer or a body skimming top to off-set the looseness of the jean.
To read about suggested wide leg jeans (including the high-waisted variety!) and what else to wear with your flared jeans, go to Who What Wear online.

Lindsay Lohan with Recession Denim designer Daniella Siri.
Last fall, I wrote about Recession Denim and its new Gypsy Collection. Constructed in a blend of silk and cotton, the lightweight denim line brings great fashion promise to our wardrobe when the warm season hits. And now, I’m almost ready for spring! Stroll down Madison Avenue in your soft, fluffy skirt, or trot down Robertson Boulevard in a billowy Gypsy jean. One can imagine, but you don’t really know if the look will really work until you see it for yourself. Thanks to Lindsay Lohan, (in photo, left) the jeans look smart, especially when built around a chic jacket. Here’s to a Gypsy spring!
The Gypsy Collection can be found at Atrium, National Jean Co. and Fred Segal, with prices ranging from $115 to $130.
