We have to admit, we’re not used to seeing Blair Waldorf in flip flops and a button down chambray shirt… but we’ll go ahead and assume she’s not in character. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester showed off her festival style at Rio de Janeiro’s Feira de Artesanato de Ipanema (“the hippie fair”) and picked up a few treasures in a pair of 7 For All Mankind denim shorts—specifically, the vintage cut-off short in medium destroyed Morea. Love her top too! And nice to see a celeb attending a festival other than Coachella, no? ;}

On newsstands now, big screen starlet Leighton Meester is the cover girl for NYLON Magazine’s February 2011 issue. She sports a Diesel coated denim skirt paired with a satiny Marc Jacobs jacket (cut like a classic denim jacket, as it were). Shot by the mag’s Editor-in-Chief Marvin Scott Jarrett, Leighton is styled in plenty’o'denim, leading us to believe they magazine is trying to showcase a very casual, non-Blair Waldorf side of her persona. And with her new movie rolls showing her in very un-Blair like lights, we think it’s perfect timing for this prim princess to pull some nice, classic denim on.
