Why: This classic number will look incredible paired with any/all of the following: a richly hued plaid button-down and rhinestone necklace combo, an oversized sweater and chunky bracelets, or your favorite worn-out tee, tucked in on one side. Get ready to meet your next favorite pair of jeans.
Why: A little rock’n'roll can upgrade any wardrobe, and we can’t think of a better way than with a pair of leather-like coated jeans. These Burberry Brit’s are mid-rise, which means they’re a flawless match with a cropped blazer or denim jacket.

1. Is Rihanna swiping samples from her not-yet-announced collaboration with Armani Jeans? She stepped out in a denim jumpsuit recently with a “Rihanna for Armani Jeans label”, which tipped off fans of the brand and the singer.
2. If you haven’t checked out the super-cute GUESS ad campaign for spring, do so. It’ll make you want to go to the beach. Also, stay tuned for our GUESS spring preview event post in one hour!
3. Stroll through Milan’s Officina Slowear and scope out some of the men’s colored denim they have in stock. We think a field trip is in order.
4. Remember those braided chambray pants we were talking about forever ago? Well, they’re on sale right now for less than $40!
5. Current/Elliott’s latest release is the skinny leather pant in a beige-toned wash called “pebble”. We love the idea of these worn with a sheer button-down blouse and some cute flats.

Playing Fashion‘s November issue stays true to its name with a bold editorial that takes a fresh spin on staid standbys with unconventional materials and cooler color choices. With the addition of perky pastels and highly-saturated brights, the luxe labels and luxe fabrics featured here–from teal Emilio Pucci trousers to Prince-worthy purple suede pants–are far from boring. We’re especially digging the lemon yellow-hued leather jeans. Attention-grabbing clothing you can wear in the winter is always drool-worthy, especially at this time of year!

If you’ve ever found yourself standing in front of the mirror in the morning, unsure whether you wanted to go for the denim shorts with leggings look, or something more sexy… like, say, a pair of leather jeans, this will probably amuse you. R13 Skinny Chaps Jeans are the leather leggings x denim shorts combo you’ve been waiting for. Mildly distressed on the denim fabrication and razor cut at the hem, you’ll get a two-tone, two-texture look in one ensemble. They’re not exactly cheap (a fresh $695 at Ssense), and we’ve really got to ask ourselves… are these flattering, even on a skinny model? Would they look awful on anyone over a size 24? Sound off!

What do you imagine when you think of Kill City Jeans? Black? Edgy? Punk? Frankly, nothing has changed. This can be a good thing for those of us who can’t help but maintain a stand-by collection of leather-like jeans and black basics. What, wear color like everybody else and conform? Oh, the horrors. This Los Angeles-based denim brand loves the non-color black as much as its denizens do. We at Denim Therapy may love our colored denim, but we’ll take a really solid pair of minimalistic black jeans which will blend in well with the fading landscape of winter. Well, they do have some color graphic shirts, but they’re in black! Do you feel a color rebellion coming on?

Have you tried on a pair of coated jeans yet? Let’s just say, not all coated denim are made equal. Recently, Denim Therapy had the chance to review a pair of DL1961 Emma jeans in Wick. These are black coated denim leggings made with X-Fit 4-way stretch jeans, so you don’t have to suffer to look great. I am wearing the Emma in a size 26 with a 32″ inseam. Although I’m not very tall, these jeans fit me perfectly from hip to ankle. Even as these are low-rise jeans (about 8 1/2″ rise), I was impressed with its contoured waistband, which prevented puckering at the back. Equally impressive was how the waistband was cut near the front: slightly higher on the sides so there was no pinching at the hip bones. One thing to note: the non-rubbery coating is only on the outside, so the interior is soft.
If you’re in the market for a great pair of sexy all-purpose black jeans, then you better try the Emma in Wick. You can get the leather jeans look without the heaviness. And, what the pictures don’t tell you online is that there’s a slight sheen and a bit of sparkle lightly scattered throughout the jeans; so, these jeans look great in the sunlight as well as at night.
