Color has no expiration date in our book especially when it comes to looking fashionable—what works, works! And that definitely includes white (don’t say we didn’t warn ya). This street style snap goes to show that all white can still be a total fashion do. A buttoned light wash denim jacket, short brim hat (totally 80s), and a pop of color with a cognac round-toe shoe makes this guys all white outfit look young and modern. Will you be wearing white this fall? We think yes!

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo (although it seems to be her last season with the show, along with co-star Patrick Dempsey) looks tomboy chic in a pair of Henry & Belle’s white Ideal Ankle Skinny jeans. She and her daughter Stella were out running errands as she was seen in a ruffled button down blue shirt and Toms slip on flats. We love how she tucked in and braid-belted her white jeans. A clean, crisp summer look that will work for early-fall as well. Her loose blonde hair and aviator glasses added a touch of careless luxe to the mix.

Hilary Duff enjoyed dinner with her husband including lots of PDA’s recently wearing Black Orchid’s “Black Jewel Jeggings” in Pure White (how appropriate for those lovely summer nights). She paired her jeans with a white top, colorful sandals, and a tribal inspired print bag. Hilary looks very fresh and added just the right amount of color to mix in perfectly with her all white ensemble. Plus these jeans have a zipper that can be opened to give the skinny look a new face of wide leg. We are hoping to take that style way pass Labor Day this year.

I’ve talked about why we should wear white jeans after Labor Day before, and it seems even more socially acceptable now, thanks to the latest white-featured presentations from the runways. So I will start all over and label this reason #1: it’s okay to wear white jeans after Labor Day because it’s fashionable. Now don’t be calling Isabel Marant a liar!

Once, only the brave wore white after the first weekend in September (and by brave we mean French and/or those in possession of a generous dry-cleaning budget). But that old edict hasn’t really applied for a while, and judging by Fall collections from the likes of Thakoon Panichgul and Gucci’s Frida Giannini, a pair of white pants is now a winter wardrobe essential. According to Jill Stuart, though, the shade’s prominence has less to do with breaking rules than harmonizing palettes.
