No surprise, but John Hughes movies remain our pop culture comfort food. A little bit of teen angst, a little bit of romance–it’s the perfect pick-me-up or sob-along-with. Kellan Lutz, star of Immortals and Twilight Saga, was spotted in Venice Beach, California, on the set of the Dylan George and Abbot + Main Fall 2012 Campaign photo shoot, along with campaign model Kate Upton. Kellan is seen wearing an Abbot + Main Zip Hoodie, Mocha Burnout Tee, Henley and Dylan George Denim. As you may recall, Abbot + Main’s debut campaign featured some steamy photos of Kellan and model Anne V. Involved with every phase of the collection, Lutz teamed up with Dylan George founder Danny Guez, to design the third collection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear line for Abbot+Main, which features a Venice, California-inspired collection of t-shirts, knitwear and loungewear.

Emma Roberts was spotted leaving a nail salon in Beverly Hills in a cozy striped knit sweater teamed with khaki [Blank NYC ] Carpenter skinny jeans. Emma accessorized her look with a funky red fringed shoulder bag and black sunnies. Is there such a thing as color stalking? I love this look (above) by Patrycia Regulska, from Poland, who posted her khaki pants inspiration on LookBook. With fall’s forecast of a courtship with bright reds, khaki as a neutral complement will offer balance and a sense of civility, besides making that tomatoed coat or crimson lip color really pop.
Not that red is my thing, but with a good pair of skinny khaki jeans to serve as the fall/winter denim jeans version of the LBD, I am suddenly all over red like white on rice. And if I’m not in the crimson mood, fall’s olive and gray tones will blend perfectly in a snap.
