We’re all about versatility (the very nature of denim, right?), especially when you can re-purpose a look over and over again, to very different results. We’ve picked Hudson’s ‘Chelsea’ Jean and this Dion Lee Cutout Blouse as our starting point, and put together three looks for very different occasions: casual, work, and going out in the evening. Guess is known for its sexier take on denim and they’re certainly turning up the heat for fall/winter 2012. For women, they’ve styled skinny jeans with luxe coats, collared shirts (even if they’re sometimes, um, see-through), bold take-charge heels, and chunky gold accessories. The message they’re sending men? Turn down the glam, turn up the campy rugged edge with fisherman’s sweaters, dusty boots, and suspenders. But we still think that is sexy, FYI.

As a general rule, if you wear printed jeans, they will take center stage. Can you really ignore a bold and graphic presence on your bum? I didn’t think so. But while they may not be utilitarian to the degree of a pair of blue jeans, printed pants are surprisingly versatile, especially AG Adriano Goldschmied‘s new ikat printed rendition. We love how they uniquely rock ikat in a wintery color palate of pale blue, white, and periwinkle–a rarity, even when not put on pants!–but still look appropriate in many different situations. Whether you’re headed to work, going out, or lounging around on the weekend, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to wear these jeans, three ways:
