If you haven’t already seen the latest denim campaign on storefronts, the Spring Summer 2011 Campaign is in full bloom at Gap, and you might do a double-take for its position on trouser jeans. Okay, you might also do a double-take for their spotlight on two models-in-demand Anja Rubik and Jac Jagaciak. If you recall, Anja became the talk of San Francisco and made fashion headlines when Gap first debuted Anja as its newest It Girl in August 2009, and people haven’t stopped talking about her since. We are really digging Gap’s trouser jeans (somewhat reminiscent of 7 For All Mankind’s Ginger wide leg), because of its higher rise (and slimming) silhouette, and the fitted thighs which gradually flare out to a wide leg jeans manages to avoid that dreaded “elephant leg” look. Besides trouser jeans, Gap maintains its basic array of spring and summer-friendly skinny Boyfriend and cropped cuts for those who want to maintain that skinny jean look.
