You think the peplum trend is going away? Think again. It Girl Hanneli Mustaparta shows us how to get the look for fall and winter with a few key wardrobe essentials for keeping those flirty ruffles in your street style repertoire. Keep The Beat, Mango‘s style blog, says: “The secret with peplum is to combine it with a skinny trouser, denim or otherwise. The added touch of the gloves gives the look a more feminine edge, while a good heeled shoe streamlines the figure. And we must not overlook the oversized bag either, ideal for carrying all your things.”

Ready for Casual Friday? As you can tell here, Jessica Alba‘s love of denim is not constrained to her vast collection of colored jeans. Just recently she was snapped rocking a denim shirt on Instagram with her staff at The Honest Company. You can get her look simply by pairing it with a crisp shift dress like a Raoul Lara white capsleeve, and a MOTO slim fit denim shirt. A slim shirt will maintain a polished look. It’s a great Casual Friday option for all you who get to sit in an air-conditioned office all day.

Recently, Denim Therapy asked Raven Denim Creative Director Yael Torbati about what she thought were some perfect denim fits this summer. ”We are super into mid-rise and high waisted jeans…they hold that belly in, show off your waistline, and seam to just be universally flattering! We’ve all seen the pairing of high waists with crop tops but for a look that’s extra sleek and sophisticated, I suggest wearing it with a one-piece swimsuit or a unitard. This creates a sleek line, with no messy “untucking”. Also, many high waisted styles have really cute detailing at the waistline (since it’s often a focal point) so wearing a one piece is the best way to show it off.
You can shop the Raven Denim Orly jeans (pictured above), and pair it with our suggestions below!
1. Topshop Dropped Armhole Cropped Top 2. Turquoise Bib Necklace 3. Duo Turquoise Cuff
4. Joie Elvia Lace Scoop Top 5. Hyun Tribal Bib 6. Tough Brass Circle Necklace

In what universe do most fashion shows give you an idea of how clothes look on a real person? Take this Chanel Resort 2013 look–the model wears almost clownish makeup and a blue bob to complement her baby blue denim dress. It’s certainly a dramatic look, but for real life? Nobody’s gonna go for that. If you’re wondering what this frock looks like off the runway, just look to Diane Kruger. She wore the denim dress to Chanel’s Haute Couture Show in Paris, and we think it looks much more wearable. (Or at least, much more tame in comparison.)

We’ve been pondering the delights of swimwear lately. If the heat doesn’t get to you, we don’t know what will! Just try to avoid seeing all the cute sets in all the magazines. One of our favorites at the minute has to be the new swimwear and beachwear range from Debenhams.com. Many styles which go swimmingly (pun intended) with jeans! During our research, we came across some pretty useful tips, so thought we’d share!
If you’re big up top, look for swimsuits with built in support for the chest but also with some eye-catching detail around the waist, such as ruching or a design, to draw attention away from your chest, Oprah recommends. If you are small-chested, pick styles that have padding in the bra section. Alternatively, emphasise your assets with eye-catching colors and prints. Small prints are best as they make an area look bigger. On a practical note, if you are planning on going for a swim, a heavily-padded suit may not be the best choice—it’ll take ages to dry!
If your lower half is biggest, Glamour advises that you go for swimsuits and bikinis with high-leg cuts rather than boy shorts. We can see from their pictures that higher-cut options make legs look longer and the hip and derriere area look smaller. If you’re really not about putting your body on display, strapless dresses look the part while you’re lying on the beach. And, don’t forget all the fun sandals out right now: chunky straps for daytime; leg-lengthening neutral tones for the evening. We feel armed to make our swimwear choices now, and we hope you feel the same!

Francine recently tried a little experiment with her Agave Jeans (we’re in the experimenting mood lately). She tried wearing three different pairs with one top and necklace combo, to see if the classic styles would all work with her favorite top of the moment. The results were three new favorite outfits, and some rave reviews about Agave Jeans’ fit and fabrication!
The Fusta Slim Jegging: These are so soft (literally like butter) and versatile. Perfect for summer… these are definite beach pants material, and the button-up ankle detail gives it a bit of a nautical twist. I can also see myself wearing these for fall.
The Paloma Classic Skinny: Before trying them on I knew they had to be amazing, because Paloma it’s my daughter’s name! But seriously, these super-skinny jeans are an instant favorite. They fit like a dream.
The Tomboy Boyfriend Straight leg: Another pair with super soft, comfortable fabric (and another potential pair of favorite summer beach pants). Despite being boyfriend jeans these have a classic feminine fit, which is perfect for me. Love them!
Stay tuned for more on Agave’s latest styles, and don’t forget to check them out online!

We’re always on the lookout for new ways to style the latest denim trends. This season is all about pastels, so if you’re wondering how to style aqua jeans in pastel hues, take notice. When paired with cream and white neutrals on top, the jeans stay cool and refreshing. To avoid an overly soft look (if that’s not your thing), ground your outfit in strong black accessories, like Zina did here.
