Here at Denim Therapy, we love it when our customers document their DT process and then share it with us. Today we have a review from one of the first Denim Therapy customers to have taken advantage of our Denim Shorts Service. Watch as she tells us about her old Gap 1969s that were almost tossed out until she saw us on NBC’s New York Live and we turned her unflattering flares into perfectly fitted capris.

However, this comfy, looser silhouette can be perfect for ladies who want to take a break from the skinny jeans look. Check out a few finds that should provide some day to night spring fashion versatility. You may never need to take these jeans off all day!

We like to think of these as boyfriend jeans…for boys. The Gap 1969 Max Crop Jean is a menswear staple for fall and spring that you can start wearing right now, before the real cold sets in. They feature a drop crotch and cuffed hem, sitting just at the base of the calf. We spotted these jeans on The Denim Guy and we had to ask our own male staff… would they wear them? The answer was a resounding YES! Paired with some converse sneakers, or a preppy canvas shoe, you can’t go wrong with this casual-cool fit. They cost around $70 and are available at Gap.

So Gap 1969 is now just 1969 Premium Denim. Last year, the then Gap 1969 division packed up and moved their operations to Los Angeles—to their new denim studio on Pico Blvd. Los Angeles is the denim capital of the world, which is the reason behind the move: to work closely with denim manufacturing resources and create that vibe of authenticity and ingenuity which the brand is focused on. The subtle title change is yet another way that this premium denim division is distinguishing itself from the overall Gap corporate identity.
