Known for producing some of the most aesthetically pleasing lookbooks on the market, Siwy‘s spring 2012 collection is presented in a slightly desaturated, high-contrast spread of fierce poses & killer eye makeup. Playing on their role as experts at sexy denim cut-offs, they show an array of denim shorts, from the gorgeous Camilla in gradient “Sunrise” or “Mixed Signals” wash to the classic looking rolled hem Cheyenne in “All I want” wash. Also making a statement are a palette of spring-appropriate colors in skinny jeans and flares, like the mint green Hannah jean in “Cool La La”, or its hot red counterpart, the “Yes I’m Ready” wash. You’ll also find universal crowd pleasers like medium dark-wash blue jeans with strategic fading, off-white minimal flares, and cropped/cuffed relaxed fit denim. Overall, a delicious delivery of best-sellers and must-have’s for post-snow season.

Jewel tone-jeans, denim-on-denim, and zipper details are some of the reasons we’re obsessed with the 7 For All Mankind Fall 2011 lookbooks (for men and women). The styling suggests that a semi-industrial look can become totally chic when the tones are desaturated but full of rich color, and something classic like the denim workshirt is played up with beautiful jewelry or a classy skinny tie. As expected, the skinny and the flare leg make appearances in the womens’ collection, while the bootcut, cargo, and cuffed straight leg are strong in the mens’ collection.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know flare legs are the it-cut for spring—but where’s your waistline preference at the moment? Stylelist reports that the high rise waistline is happening in full force for spring, with a host of new products on the market to prove it. They make several good points as to why this is a good thing via 7 For All Mankind’s Mille Monferin, including balancing the flare leg silhoutte, hiding lower back abundance, and creating a longer, sexier leg line.
Check out the full review at Stylelist, and find out what the big names in denim (J Brand, Diesel, Pray for Mother Nature, and Blank NYC to name a few) feel about the newest wave in high-rise mania.

Les Halles was born of a couple’s creativity and denim design know-how back in the ’80s, and their re-launch in 2008 promises a new era for the next generation of the denim obsessed everywhere. Their spring 2011 lookbook is a careful, controlled (yet incredibly chic) example of how ’70s boho flare and clean, preppy styling can all meet somewhere in the middle with the right pair of jeans. With a solid family-foundation behind the design process (a family that designed for the likes of Guess and Jordache), Les Halles is definitely a line to watch, wear, and love.

Stay tuned for our exclusive Q&A with Les Halles Jeans, coming up next!

Ashlee Simpson was spotted doing some last-minute Christmas shopping at the American Vintage store on Melrose Avenue wearing her Dittos jeans. Dittos is a denim brand that dates back to the 1970′s however it was relaunched in 2007 with a full collection that is both modern and has a vintage perspective. Ashlee Simpson has been seen wearing the Dittos brand very often (especially this specific flare-leg style).

We love the black and white ensemble including the incredible Chanel earrings- now that’s bringing vintage back (the blonde short hair suits her well too)! You can check out Dittos’ looks and shop the website to see more of what we’re talking about.
