Ernest Alexander opened their first flagship store in NYC on June 8th—the prime location? SoHo, obviously! The store features the entire Ernest Alexander collection in one location for super convenient shopping, including tailored jackets and shirts, selvedge denim, and their popular range of bags and accessories (all made in t he USA). “With touches of their signature grays and red, original wood flooring, tin ceilings, and Ernest’s own collection of antique knick-knacks strewn about, the store aims to emulate a well-worn masculine living room,” says the brand.

As a company who believes in handcrafting their goods the old-fashioned way, Ernest Alexander of New York presents a sportier version of the dapper gentleman for Fall-Winter 2012. In its lookbook, gentlemen are dressed in tailored looks of tweed sport jackets and suiting separates, anchored by crisp, straight leg selvedge jeans. Paying attention to details, as Ernest Alexander likes to do, some separates are cropped, perhaps suggesting ideal fits for the active (but well-dressed) man. Offering vintage-inspired fashion staples via the forward-thinking company ethos of employing ethical manufacturing processes, all products are made locally. Check out the gallery for all the looks and watch the video for more. Note: there will be folios and large tote bags.
