We wanted to give you a little sneak peak of the latest Divine Rights of Denim and Forever 21 collaboration featuring the Twilight Saga’s Christian Serratos. She will be the new face of the collection that is set to launch on September 8th during Fashion Night Out. The big launch will take place at Forever 21’s Times Square location in New York City and will include a special appearance by Christian herself. The new collection features denim with a variety of cuts, colors and finishes all at amazing low prices (you can check out our blog editors review for an idea).

Our blog editor Michelle Christina took a new pair of Divine Rights of Denim gray floral skinny jeans for a test run. MC styled her jeans with a bright blue vintage denim work shirt, faded peach H&M knit top, and a gold snake bracelet. The 74% cotton, 24% polyester, 2% spandex skinnies have plenty of stretch and seem to mold to everything from a classic New Yorker power walk to a quick climb out the kitchen window for some spring evening air. While the fit is flexible, they don’t hold figure like a tougher pair of jeans, and the fiber gives both where it counts and where you’d rather it did a little shaping.

“The super-flexible fabric is also a bit thin as you can tell from the photo. The first try-on was more like a pair of tights than jeans. That’s a hint that these probably won’t go more than six months without a rip. The overall verdict? A great pair of jeans that may not stand up to the wear and tear of a city-dweller on the run for too long, but it’s enough bang for a fast fashion buck.”
Divine Rights of Denim is available at Forever21.

Victoria Beckham in Balmain

Nicole Richie in Jet by John Eshaya
Fergie in Diesel
Ever since I first saw the biker inspired bleached denim on the runway of Balmain, I knew this trend was going to be a hit, but I didn’t think it would hold up for so long. Everyone from Victoria Beckham to BeyoncA© have rocked this look and so can you. Copy this look by D.I.Y. and revive the 80s in your wardrobe with homage to the late legendary Michael Jackson by pairing it up with a band inspired jacket (a la Balmain).
Tools needed: Bleach, bucket, sponge, rubber gloves, newspaper
Step 1: Assemble tools and pour bleach into bucket.
Step 2: Stuff jeans with newspaper to keep bleach from seeping through to the other side.
Step 3: Using a sponge, dab and drip bleach onto jeans. Hang to dry for an hour . Wash and dry.
Step 4: Reapply bleach with sponge in additional areas. Hang to dry for three hours. Wash and dry again.
Tip: Make sure to choose a well-ventilated area, like a porch or driveway, because bleach gives off noxious fumes.

From TalkingShopping:
TS Update:
Back in September, the TalkingShopping team told you that Hills bad girl Audrina Patridge had inked a deal to be the face of cheap-chic denim line, Divine Rights of Denim (a brand that the rest of the gals in her Hills also wear). Well girls, we know you’ve just been on the edge of your seat (ha!), waiting to see what smoldering, sex-filled ads the never-shy twenty-something would produce and finally, they’re out!
The line is actually a collabo collection with mall retailer Arden B. (oh-so-fitting for such a line) and Audrina does appear on their website in a pair of skin-tight denim designs by Divine Rights and, to no one’s surprise, a sheer, lace-up black corset. And in yet another pretty predictable move, she stands glued to the wall in the ad in a very Britney-like pose. The one thing we can give to this delebrity effort of sorts, is that the jeans are pretty on-trend and sport nice prices (all of Arden B’s denim offerings are under $78).
Editor’s Note: You can find Divine Rights of Denim at Dillard’s, currently for under $68.
