You guys know we’re huge suckers for Lana Del Rey, fake lips or not (yeah, they’re fake). This crooning princess is bringing new layers of interest to moody, wine-soaked cabaret style ballads, and she looks just as natural in Diesel jeans as she does in a floor length cocktail dress.

Diesel’s amusing atrocity, which you want to look away from but cannot (due to what appears to be defied laws of physics in the photos of a model wearing faux-jean underwear), is on sale at ASOS. We guess it’s on sale because you, like us, would rather be caught in a pair of raw A.P.C.’s between the sheets than denim underwear. Here, the texture, shape, fit, and general point of wearing denim is mocked by spandex and a cute scalloped trim. If you don’t think it’s awful, imagine taking someone home and when they strip down, you see… this. Where’s your mojo now?!

We love Diesel. Don’t get us wrong. And we usually jump all over Diesel jeans, their denim dresses, and their super cool urban accessories. But the latest release in the realm of totes & carry-ons from Diesel Island is iffy. And by iffy, we mean… ugly. Maybe it’s the shape of the bag against the akward contour, the handle bases being too close together, the awkward DIY-esque placement of the studs, or the feeling that too many ideas were crammed into one design. In any case, we won’t be buying this one. The line they belong to, dubbed “The Divina”, are available in three styles and fabrications, and $350—$440.
Sorry Diesel! We still love you!

We’ll be honest, we wear denim cut-off’s all year round. With a cute pair of tights and some fresh kicks, you have no excuse to push your jean shorts into a “summer” box and stuff them under your bed. But it’s true that there’s a certain magic that comes with the season of Daisy Duke‘s, and while there are still a few humid, sunny days left in the August-to-September transition, it’s a good idea to get the most out of them. We’ve put together three outfits we adore for some summer denim inspiration. Go forth, and wear denim shorts!
Check out these three denim-shorts-loving looks below…

Flash sale site Gilt Groupe has launched its first full-priced menswear ecommerce site, Park & Bond to cater to men who hate to shop. Actually, it’s for men who hate to go shopping and spend time rifling through racks and stacks at the mall. Think of it as an oldschool department store with the one person who will tell you what is hot and worth the money. We also like the nifty advice section in which you learn how to achieve the perfect tie dimple. Why we like Park & Bond: a strategic cultivation of mens denim brands from tried and true A.P.C., Diesel and AG Jeans to more indie denim labels like Naked & Famous, Nudie and Simon Spurr. Expect the brands to change with the seasons, but we’re quite okay with the current jeans offerings.
Go to Park & Bond online for more information.
