If you thought novelty items constructed with denim was a modern thing (we spotted a patchwork denim ottoman in a department store recently that sported “pieces of jeans” with fake labels mixed into the seams), think again! This late 1800s denim umbrella just goes to show that the obsession with denim and desire to stretch the textile into as many areas of ones life as possible is a long-running tradition!

A cute & functional must have for the next time you get stuck hailing a cab in the rain… and want your umbrella to match your denim jacket. The “denim inspired” Danish boutique Tenue de N?mes (who stock select products from all over the world) partnered with designer umbrella label London Undercover to bring you the denim umbrella! Aside from the expected outer appearance, the inside showcases the sublime artwork of Japanese illustrator Hiyoko Imai: a cotton flower.

The umbrella retails at ?115.00 and is available at the London Undercover web store. To learn more, visit Denim Geek.
