Opposites attract! Wanna show off your casual side (or totally rock’n'roll side, depending on what your denim looks like)? Pair up your dark wash denim jacket with a lace or crocheted skirt in off-white for a look that sends mixed signals of the best variety. Extra points for bold lipstick and a black fedora or some other statement-making hat. French blogger Valentine demonstrates below.

Our obsession with boho chic trends has yet to suffice for us to slow down, which makes it hard for us to focus our attention on another emerging trends, (A love affair you say? Why yes, it certainly is!) So when we found this very cool post about fringe bags the urge to share it with you guys was almost insatiable. Point blank, the reason we love fringe bags: they’re cool, you can dress them up or down and as we approach fall they compliment denim very well. Not just “hippie chic” these bags can be worn in a multitude of ways and after all who doesn’t love versatility?

Madewell has a wonderful tendency to bridge the gap between looking chic and looking adorable, and there’s no more fun season to wave their magic lookbook wand than fall. Their latest Shopbop collaboration features colorful, layered looks with denim, wovens and knits that result in fashion-forward outfits appropriate for ages 15 to 30 and beyond. Our favorite piece? This super basic staple, the shrunken chambray “Boy” shirt ($78).

As summer comes to a close, we’re having a hard time accepting the fact that we will soon have to retire our beloved denim cutoffs and midriff baring tops. On a brighter note, the fall season is fast approaching, and while we would love to bask in the sun all day, we must admit it feels good to welcome the crisp clean autumn air. Not to mention the return of trench coats, knit sweaters, boots and darker/richer color denim; key essentials that every fall wardrobe needs. But until the time comes for you to make the change, transition your beloved denim high-waisted shorts from summer to fall by pairing it with a pussy bow blouse (as shown below). For cooler days throw on a pair of opaque tights under shorts to keep your legs warm. And if shorts aren’t your thing dress up a pair of your favorite bell bottoms jeans with an ultra cool 70′s ruffled shirt for a retro-chic effect. Who knew seasonal changes could be this easy?!

Here at Denim Therapy, we love to see super moms such as Victoria Beckham, create and conquer it all before dinner time. Case in point, Ms. Beckham has successfully managed to change a couple of diapers, cook dinner for her hunk of a husband Mr. Beckham, all while conquering the fashion world one design at a time. Cleverly and might we say extremely business savvy, Ms. Beckham has maintained the upkeep of her luxury denim brand, Victoria Beckham Denim, and for that we salute her. This upcoming fall/winter season, the signature skinnies and cropped skinnies are joined by a clean bootcut and a slim boyfriend. Colors are also muted with aubergine, lavendar and green, and detailing such as zips and insert panels are kept subtle. If this doesn’t speak women power in all volumes we don’t know what else will.

Just in time for the upcoming fall season Hugo Boss Orange unveils a new ad campaign/editorial featuring Model Eniko Mihalik that has us craving oranges… weird! Our newfound obsession for the color orange seems to have taken center stage in this very autumn inspired campaign. We actually fell in love with everything this editorial embodied from the awesome display of denim to the cozy looking fur lined parka Eniko models. Orange whether it’s for Hugo Boss or an entity of its own, is such a hot color for fall, because it spices everything thing up, especially denim. So take some key notes from Eniko and go orange just make sure to wear clothing when you do so.

Word through the grapevine is popular denim brand Current/Elliott, has created a masterpiece that everyone in the jungle and outside world (including us) want to get their hands on. Case in point, their new stiletto leopard jean, has all the piazzas of a luxurious fur, sans the animal cruetly. Celebs such as Mandy Moore, Danielle Lineker, Isla Fisher and Katie Holmes to name a few have fallen prey to the irresistible allure of these jeans. So why do we adore these loud animal print jeans so much? Well for starters these jeans are probably the hippest way to sport the printed jean trend, we also love the how they are faded in just the right spots, for that love-worn effect that so many of us covet. Pair these bad boys with a graphic tee or a plain tee with some bold accessories and you’ll probably make Tarzan a bit jealous.

To say we love the use of color in J.Crew’s Fall 2011 lookbook would be a hilarious understatement. We’re enamored with the mustard yellows, magentas, and cyans in a way that makes us (for a fleeting second) wish Fall would come for a week before summer really gets going. There’s even a pair of lilac slacks. To make matters more exciting? Glimpses of dark-wash cuffed denim peeking out from outfits with more muted hues. Khaki, camel, and beige are seamless matches for deep and medium blue wash denim jackets and desaturated jeans, topped off with fedoras and wispy, autumn hair. How romantic!

In the warm, luxe interior of the Soho Grand Hotel, we caught What Goes Around Comes Around‘s Fall 2011 runway show on the first official day of NYFW. The rustic-nordic-meets-bohemian cues were a perfect fit with all out glamorous ’70s retro style. Denim trends included a loose vintage stove pipe fit, thick cuffs, and (our favorite), hem slits with vertical button closure. The ladies paired their cuffs jeans with sky high red platform shoes. Boys styled white jeans with military jackets, loose gray washes with camel colored leather accessories, and a whole lot of fur.

Stay tuned for more from the tents!
